The 110th anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising was marked by a "respectful" and "moving" state ceremony on Easter Sunday at the General Post Office in Dublin, attended by thousands and featuring a wreath-laying by President Catherine Connolly. Relatives of participants honored their ancestors' contributions, while Captain Eva Houlihan became the fourth woman to read the Proclamation at the ceremony.
