Right now before bed: are you drinking water or not?

Posted by Bird_0010

My mom always makes me drink a glass of water before bed 😅 But then I end up waking up in the middle of the night to pee… So, do you drink water before bed or avoid it? What’s your bedtime ritual?

I have a bottle of water on my nightstand.

Pristine-Pen-9885 Apr 1, 2026 +23
I have a 32-oz. double-walled “tankard” of filtered ice water on my nightstand. Just before I go to sleep I make sure there’s enough ice in it so that if I wake up thirsty I can reach out and drink ice water.

Bird_0010 Apr 1, 2026 +29
Is it so you can grab some water whenever you’re thirsty at night?

palbertalamp Apr 1, 2026 +53
Put out pillow fire if I doze off with the cigarette still lit again

Playful_Champion3189 Apr 1, 2026 +3
According to National Fire Protection Association cigarettes are a leading cause of home fire deaths, accounting for around 21–23% of them. While causing only about 5% of total home fires, these incidents are highly lethal, often because of smoldering materials igniting furniture.

My late wife would bring a bottle of water upstairs every single night and put it on her nightstand. She would drink maybe 1/4 to 1/2 of it and then it would somehow end up in her nightstand drawer. At one point, she had 20 water bottles in there all mostly 1/2 full.

Same. Used to have a cup, but realized the cats were drinking from it while I slept. So now it’s a bottle.

Do you refill bottles or buy disposable plastic bottles for your nightstand?

Refill bottles.

Me too! I drink some water with ice every evening before bed, especially in the summer.

Responsible_Cap_5597 Apr 1, 2026 +1
This. Water before bed a few sipps in the night and 8 or so ounces when I wake up

auldSusie5 Apr 1, 2026 +44
I have to stop with the fluids right after dinner because I'm OLD and have to pee all night if I don't. I love being hydrated, but I'd rather be asleep.
44
CBWeather Apr 1, 2026 +21
I'm old too and it doesn't matter if I drink liquids or not. I'm still getting up to pee at least once

auldSusie5 Apr 1, 2026 +5
Alas! So true.

thislinkisdead______ Apr 1, 2026 +7
I'm now stopping drinking at 9pm, I have a half glass at 11 to take magnesium and still wake up to pee lol I'm 35F and this didn't use to happen before :(

dragonlady_11 Apr 1, 2026 +6
Just a friendly note to get your bloodwork done for diabetes. This was the first sign I had of insulin resistance starting at around 34, but by the time I actually thought maybe I shouldnt be getting up to pee 2-3 times a night at 36, and went to docs I was type 2.
6
thislinkisdead______ Apr 1, 2026 +4
I'm actually doing bloodwork this week and told my doc I wanted to check my blood sugar! I love sweets and carbs lol Thanks for looking out!

All the time Feels good having water before bed Bonus if i chug a lot and have to wake up to pee and realize i can still go back to sleep for 2-3 more hours its the best

Bird_0010 Apr 1, 2026 +21
Oh no… I don’t want to leave my warm bed. T\_T

Celistar99 Apr 1, 2026 +7
I do like waking up and thinking my alarm is about to go off then realizing I still have a few hours left, but my bedroom is upstairs and the only bathroom is downstairs. So by the time I get back up to bed, I'm wide awake. I try not to drink too much but for some reason I'm always thirsty at night. I can't remember the last time I slept through the night and didn't wake up having to pee at least once.

Arcarsenal89 Apr 1, 2026 +24
Always drink water before bed. It doesn’t seem to wake me up. But I’ve found if I don’t drink, especially after dinner, then I’ll wake up parched.
24
Bird_0010 Apr 1, 2026 +11
Being able to sleep straight through to morning—now that’s the kind of sleep to be jealous of
11
Arcarsenal89 Apr 1, 2026 +3
Solid sleep is super important. If you’re not getting it, it will change your life. Can you think what might be affecting it?
3
Enough_Equivalent379 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Not sure about others, but for me it was "Severe Sleep Apnea" (pulmonologist quote). Snored for many years. Got up to pee a few times every night. For almost 3 years, I've been on a Bi-Pap. Have not gotten up one time to pee since, save for one night where I had touch of the flu or food poisoning. And that interruption was NOT to pee. Regardless, my life has changed for the better big time as a result. If you snore, go through a sleep study. It can lengthen your time on this earth.

Mtnmama1987 Apr 1, 2026 +2
Sometimes I can sleep all night. It takes several correct decisions, usually start drinking a cup of water first thing when I’m up for the day. Then a few more during the day. If I start early then can stop earlier and sleep better. Also, some exercise helps, listening to a sleep story, staying off screens, there’s a few good decisions
2
dragonlady_11 Apr 1, 2026 +6
I wish I was like that, I can down a pint before I go to sleep and still wake up with a dry mouth and simultaneously needing to pee really bad 😪
6
Arcarsenal89 Apr 1, 2026 +2
That is a horrible combination, I feel you!
2
mwkingSD Apr 1, 2026 +17
Your mom makes you…? Are you old enough to be in here?
17
Bird_0010 Apr 1, 2026 +26
I'm grown up, I just call my mom for a little chat every night before going to bed.
26
yugohotty Apr 1, 2026 +11
I love this so much. Moms are the best. And to answer your question, yes I drink water right before bed. If I happen to wake up in the middle of the night I use the bathroom and then have another sip of water before returning to bed.
11
FIRST_PENCIL Apr 1, 2026 +2
Don’t take that for granted.
2
Loose-Zebra435 Apr 1, 2026 +2
I think you can tell her you just had a glass of water and be referring to the water you had 6pm. She was trying to set you up with a good habit and she succeeded. But the timing isn't working for you, so you should just adjust it
2
Bird_0010 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Can’t really sleep tonight… normally I’m not up this late *:P*

Yes, I'm almost 3.
2
Affectionate_Case732 Apr 1, 2026 +6
I drink so much water throughout the day I actually stop myself from drinking it before bed or else I will be up all night to pee. not worth the sleep disruption so I just drink it throughout the day!
6
Bird_0010 Apr 1, 2026
I don’t drink much water during the day either—too many bathroom trips *:P*

Cock--Robin Apr 1, 2026 +4
Does lemonade count? I drink lemonade every evening. I used to drink iced tea right up until I went to bed, and got up multiple times a night to pee.
4
Bird_0010 Apr 1, 2026 +2
If I had a choice, I’d go for lemonade… plain water is just too boring.
2
Unseenmonument Apr 1, 2026 +3
Add a splash of juice. Lightly flavored water is better for you than no water at all.
3
Pristine-Pen-9885 Apr 1, 2026 +2
Tea has caffeine in it, that’s why you have to get up in the middle of the night. Caffeine is a diuretic. You’re better off with lemonade before bed.
2
ReliefOtherwise7317 Apr 1, 2026 +2
You can find decaffeinated tea. Shop Rite supermarkets used to have it with their powdered drink mixes. I moved west, so now it's harder to find. I know that 4C makes it, but I have to order it online, which is like twice as expensive. I've seen it with either lemon or peach flavor.
2
tzentzak Apr 1, 2026 +4
I usually wake up in the middle of the night and chug ice water with lemon. It often takes me a while to get to sleep so I don't drink anything within a couple hours of going to bed, lest I have to get up to pee right when I feel like I'm falling asleep.
4
phillygirllovesbagel Apr 1, 2026 +4
My water is right next to me, but I stop drinking about 9 so I'm not up and down all night heading to the rr.
4
Hikikomori_Otaku Apr 1, 2026 +3
Im already hydrated, why force a night piss?
3
UpstairsUnlikely8378 Apr 1, 2026 +2
i usually skip the water before bed to avoid the midnight bathroom trips, but staying hydrated is key. sometimes i just drink a little, then hope for the best!
2

2
WAFLcurious Apr 1, 2026 +2
No water before bed as a rule. I don’t drink nearly as much liquid as we are advised to but I’ve never been dehydrated so I’m not going to start worrying about it at this point. I do almost always wake up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night but never did that until I was close to 70.
2
Loud-Fairy03 Apr 1, 2026 +2
I won’t have a full glass or a full bottle of water before bed, but I always keep water by my bed, and I’ll have some if I get up in the night. I take all my medicine in the evening so I *have* to drink water before bed.
2
Head-Drag-1440 Apr 1, 2026 +2
I hate having to get up to pee in the middle of the night.  I drink 64-80oz all day and prefer to stop by 6:30. We go to bed at 7:30 because we're up at 4am.
2
sujack34 Apr 1, 2026 +2
Yes I have water on my nightstand.
2
figgypudding531 Apr 1, 2026 +2
I try to stop drinking water before bed so I don’t wake up having to pee, but I do keep some on my nightstand because I often wake up thirsty and want a small sip.
2
mossoak Apr 1, 2026 +2
yes .. will have 16 oz of water before I go to bed
2
Curious-Twinkie88 Apr 1, 2026 +2
Oh, I'm such a little fuss pot. I don't know how people can just drop into a bed in any dressed or undressed condition, and miscellaneously arrange the covers or not, and just fall dead asleep. For me, yeah there's this whole freaking ritual. First of all, I never skip a shower in the evening. I want to feel clean and fresh getting into my bed.  I want the covers to be straight and not too far to the left or right. I'm not a*** enough to formally make my bed, but I do smooth and straighten it so that I can get in it comfortably and cover myself, sheet first, everything tucked at the foot edge, couple blanket layers on top of that and like I said the blankets cannot be all willy-nilly or dangling crookedly. Pillows must be fluffed, with cases straight, no pillow edges bunching out the side or God forbid a pillow smashed in half like a hamburger bun with no hamburger. Because I'm middle-aged I kind of can't be dressed. We old broads get hot flashes and antsy in bed. I used to wear jammies or a T-shirt and sweatpants to sleep. But now I only do that if it is very cold. Mostly I wear a cotton t-shirt, and yes it must be cotton because if it's a poly blend it will feel uncomfortable against my skin. So cotton it is, at least for settling in.  So then I have to have something to read, usually it's my phone unfortunately. It would be a lot cooler if the something to read was a book. But mostly it's not. While I'm reading, my shirt will typically be on I think. Before I go to bed though, the shirt comes off. I toss it within reaching distance in case of emergencies. Underwear stay on. If underwear are off I'm not able to sleep. Don't even ask. I'm not even done. Obviously, teeth have to be brushed. Must moisturize, after all I just showered, gotta lube up the old lady skin suit. Moisturizer goes on the nightstand next to the bed. I also must have my ChapStick in the drawer, and a full glass of water on the table top. The table top water glass can't be too close to my phone, so it has to be at the far end. ChapStick gets applied prior to reading. I won't drink much of the water unless I'm super thirsty from something I ate for dinner. But I might wake up thirsty later, so it stays there otherwise I'll be pissed off having to get out of bed to fill my water glass in the middle of the night. Because that will wake me up. Women my age wake up easily. Pretty much after you have kids it's ruined, your sleep is forever ruined.  I also do get up to pee in the middle of the night. I shuffle lopsided in the direction of the bathroom because my limbs are stiff. I keep the light off and do a quick tinkle and then waddle back to my bed and hope I can get back to sleep with no issue. I do take a calcium and magnesium tablet because I am middle-aged and prone to calcium loss. It's supposed to help you sleep also. So I'll sip the water for that. Again because I often don't sleep well, I also have a small bottle of lavender essential oil that I mixed a few drops of with the lotion before putting it on pre bedtime. I have a diffuser but for some reason I have been too lazy to fill it and add my lavender so it's just sitting there in the corner, unloved lately. You would think at this point I would have eye cream and some kind of fuddy duddy curler or head scarf getup, but no. It actually stops there. I know, I sound pretty hot, and like a cool and laid back chick. Definitely someone you would want to sleep next to and hang out with.  Right? 😩 Oh by the way. After I get in my bed and snuggle up with my book or phone, I smile and say out loud, "Ahhh... I love my bed!" I do this EVERY night. So to answer your question, yeah I have a little water at bedtime.
2
BecauseOfAir Apr 1, 2026 +2
Yes I drink a bottle before falling asleep, when I wake to pee I drink another, when I get up I often drink another. This is one of the best ways to avoid constipation.
2
DriverMelodic Apr 1, 2026 +2
Why does she make you drink water before bed? I drink something with electrolytes most of the time.
2
cookiebutterlover_ Apr 1, 2026 +2
I don't drink any liquid 2 hours before sleeping because I'll wake up in the middle of the night to pee which annoys the hell outta me
2
lukewarm_at Apr 1, 2026 +2
I read that it's best not to have any water about 2 hours before going to bed. So I try to drink plenty of water before that time, or I take a small sip before bed if I'm too thirsty.
2
tryin_to_chill Apr 1, 2026 +2
No, I'm not. It will be coffee and Dr. Pepper tonight.

I personally always drink a glass of water! It honestly helps me fall asleep better lol

I always drink a glass of water over the course of my last hour before bed. I don’t wake up in the middle of the night needing to pee.

Mean_Assignment_180 Apr 1, 2026 +1
You should drink your water or you’ll go through what I just went through the kidney stone. My last procedure was last Friday. I went into a room and it said take everything off and sit on the end of the bed. Two nurses came and scrubbed me up. The doctor came in and took out the last stent and I was done. I’m pretty damn sure drinking my water right now and tonight and tomorrow morning in the afternoon all the time.
1
PlunxGisbit Apr 1, 2026 +2
Lack of nightime water has never caused kidney stones. Cause can be found by the type of stone removed: Calcium Phosphate, calcium Oxylate, Struvate, Cystine or Uric acid. Knowing the type gives you the future prevention knowledge.[WebMD](https://www.webmd.com/kidney-stones/kidney-stone-causes)
2
Mean_Assignment_180 Apr 1, 2026 +1
It’s informative to know what kind of kidney stone you have. But the number one cause of kidney stones is drumroll dehydration. And every Doctor No matter what kind of stone you have is gonna tell you to drink more water. And I’d rather drink more water and get up in the night and pee, then get up on the night and be rolling around and agonizing pain.
1
Bird_0010 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I had kidney stone surgery two years ago. I remember being in so much pain that I was kneeling on the hospital floor, couldn’t even stand… Thankfully, the surgery was quick, so the pain didn’t last long. But I still don’t really like drinking water before bed. Getting up to pee in the middle of the night is way too annoying.
1
SteampunkRobin Apr 1, 2026 +1
I keep water beside my bed, but idky because if I drink anything past 6-7 pm I have to get up to pee.
1
Traditional-Quit-792 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I also drink 16 to 25 ounces before bed every night. I only have to wake up to pee if I have drank a lot of water throughout the day.
1
NYGal122 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I honestly don’t drink much of anything especially water. I am older and don’t drink anything close to bedtime.
1
bemisluvpotatoes217 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I fill a cup up with ice and water and chug the water before bed. I leave the cup of ice on my nightstand so when I drink it, the melted ice has made cold water
1
bibliophile222 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Brushing my teeth always makes me thirsty, so yeah, I've accepted that getting up to pee in the night is just my life. But yay for hydration, I guess?
1
SavageBean14 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Water in the morning after waking up, throughout the day and at night. Gotta stay hydrated constantly, you’ll feel better
1
ncconch Apr 1, 2026 +1
Does the ice in my glass of bourbon count?
1
nodramaonlyspooky Apr 1, 2026 +1
If I don't drink water before bed I'm going to wake up with a dry throat and get up to get water, so I take my chances with needing to pee. Usually my cats wake me up before my bladder.
1
Prettycool_Potato Apr 1, 2026 +1
I try to drink lots of water throughout the evening (like a nice cup of herbal tea or ice water), but an hour or so before bed, I stop completely so I don’t have to pee as much at night.
1
TouchyTheFish Apr 1, 2026 +1
Millions of years of evolution didn't create an animal that needs to consciously micromanage its water intake in order to be healthy. Drink when you're thirsty. Let your body do the rest.

Coffee actually
1
Acceptable_Tune_2909 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Just a sip so I'm not thirsty
1
EmperrorNombrero Apr 1, 2026 +1
I always get really thirsty right before and u. bed for some reason so yeah. But it's not ideal honestly. If I could just plan my urges I would plan them so I get all my water during the day so that my sleep isn't impaired by a full bladder
1
BlueOceanGal Apr 1, 2026 +1
I may not be the best example. I have an autoimmune disease called sjogrens that attacks the moisture in the cells of my body. I always have dry mouth so you will never ever see me without a container of water within one foot of me. It's been that way since I was a teenager. I always have water with me. Always.
1
Educational_Total_84 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I stop drinking liquids a few hours before I go to sleep for this exact reason of having to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. It throws off your sleep cycle. Drinking water right before bed does not make any sense at all, I dont know why people are suggesting it. I do keep water on my night stand, but its for when I wake up in the morning.
1
sassyhairstylist Apr 1, 2026 +1
I carry a tumbler full of water wherever I go. Including to bed, in the bath, and out to eat. My grandma always had her water with her too. I never really "got it" as a kid but now I 100% do. I always joke that "I gotta grab my water. I'm grandma now." I miss her so much. But anyways. I don't drink enough water. I know I don't. So yes, I drink water before bed and I keep water on my bedside table at night. I'm generally quite thirsty around bedtime.. Even if that makes me have to get up to pee in the middle of the night. I'm okay with that, if it keeps me more hydrated.
1
Bird_0010 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I’m the same as you—now that you mention it, I miss my grandma too.
1
FlyingPaganSis Apr 1, 2026 +1
I keep water by the bed that I can sip if I wake up thirsty, but I would not drink a whole glass before bed.
1
DollySheep32 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Before bed, no, but I do have tea if that counts which it possibly does.
1
jogtac Apr 1, 2026 +1
Drinking a glass of red wine. Bring a bottle of water to bed.
1
HeartMelodic8572 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I drink water all day and all night. Waking up to pee in the middle of the night is just a normal human function. As long as you aren't waking up like five times a night (like if you're an older person) it's just a normal healthy human thing.
1
Eggxactly1001 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I keep 16oz insulated bottles of cold water and hot herbal tea on my bedside. And drink an ounce or 2 from 1 depending on my mood. That way I'm less likely to need to pee before time to get up. I usually do anyway now. But it worked before I got old.

I’m 54 now, so whether I have water before bed or not, I’m getting up to pee.
1
Open_Mortgage_4645 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I always drink a glass a water before bed. It keeps me hydrated overnight, it staves off bad dreams, and it helps get me out of bed in the morning. I think it's a good idea all around.

Sleep like that is seriously enviable!

1
talidrow Apr 1, 2026 +1
I have about half a glass of water to wash down my bedtime pills (ugh, when did I get old enough to have morning pills and night pills?). Has to be cold right from the fridge door dispenser. Hubby works nights, so I usually see him out the door to work, then lock up. Hot shower. Off to the bedroom, fill up the humidifier tank on my CPAP. Straighten the covers if need be. Give the cats their bedtime treats, then chase them out of the bedroom and close the door, because my 16lb orange old man likes to lay on the CPAP hose so I can't breathe. Put on all my headgear and turn the machine on. Crawl into bed, turn on some random Youtube videos at low volume because after 20 years in the middle of the city I cannot handle the nighttime silence of our quiet little neighborhood. Grab hubby's pillow to curl up with and watch whatever random video I selected until the bedtime pills kick in and I fall asleep.

I'm drinking really hot peppermint tea currently
1
Elistariel Apr 1, 2026 +1
I don't drink water during the day either, so... No. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I prefer tea. Besides, I'm a heavy sleeper. There is no guarantee I'll wake up enough to make to to the bathroom if I have to pee.

StnMtn_ Apr 1, 2026 +1
I love water. I also have to go to the bathroom about 3am.
1
adidashawarma Apr 1, 2026 +1
I drink water all day, every day, stopping only to sleep. I have my water on my bedside if I happen to wake up in the middle of the night, as well. In the car while I'm driving, at the grocery store, in the waiting room, you name it! I carry a water bottle with me, but when I am at home I have a water glass that just goes around with me from room to room. I usually sleep through the night without having to get up to pee, but I do have to pee FIRST THING with serious urgency. My nighttime ritual/ the very very last thing I do before bed is force myself to go pee, then go to my kitchen and run the water until it is cold, put my coffee and water in the machine so it's loaded for the next morning, fill my water glass with cold water and chug half, refill it to full, turn all of the lights off, and take my glass to bed. It is sipped here and there until I fall asleep. My morning ritual: waking up having to pee like it is nobody's business, grabbing my water glass from my bedside table, walking into the kitchen, hitting the start button on my coffee maker, starting my faucet water running so it is ice cold when I am done peeing, walking out of the bathroom, refilling my water glass with cold water, running back to bed for the 10 or so mins it takes for my coffee to brew while drinking my cold water, doing a bit of scrolling/weather checking, and letting some light in. Then it is coffee, and go time. I do not have diabetes, in case anybody is worried about my consumption. I do not pee any more than would be expected. I am extremely active, so I sweat a lot every day, and I eat a lot every day. I just need more water to keep things in balance.

I take a couple of pills every night. One to help me sleep and two for other things. So I have about an 8 ounce glass of water. But then I pee so I don’t have to get up in the night.

I drink water all the time before bed, in the middle of the night, on the morning. If I don't drink enough water before sleep I wake up so thirsty I drink over a litre (quart) when I wake up because I am so dry.

I usually stop about an hour before bed, otherwise I wake up in the middle of the night needing to pee.

I drink a pint glass of water every night in the hour before I go to bed. Yes, I have to get up and pee but my body loves me for it. Think of it this way, during sleep, your brain is getting a rinse cycle. When you are well hydrated, it’s an easier job. [More about the brains *rinse cycle*.](https://medicine.washu.edu/news/neurons-help-flush-waste-out-of-brain-during-sleep/)

I take my medication with a big glass of water before bed. I rarely need to get up to go during the night but sometimes I wake up early needing to go.

I wake up in the middle of the night to drink water. It's almost like sleepwalking, I'm not really fully awake. I will easily drink 500-750ml around 3am, and that helps me wake up a few hours later because I have to pee. I prefer this to drinking it right at bedtime. Water tastes really good in the middle of the night! Sometimes I will go to bed with a giant glass jar of mostly ice and at some point between 3-4am, it's "Water Time!!!" Not having to get out of bed helps, but I do it on autopilot if I have to. It helps with feeling better the next day.

Yes. I get bad drainage, and it sometimes burns my throat. Water clears it right up. I always have water nearby.

No. If I did, I’d be up twice.

I middle aged so I wake up at night to pee whether I drank water before bed or not. And as a perimenopausal woman, 90% of the time I wont be able to fall back to sleep after waking up to pee (usually around 3:30 am), and from then on until I get up around 6, I will be plagued by night sweats after getting up to pee (even with HRT).

Actually just read in my health class that drinking a lot of water right before bed can hinder your sleep quite a bit, the biggest reason being what you said about getting up to go bathroom! But so does staying up late on my phone commenting on posts at 10 pm while the screen blinds me lol

Kadana_Sorano Apr 1, 2026 +1
Yes, I have to take meds right before bed, and I can't dry swallow pills, so if not water, then it would just be something else. I also keep a 24oz stainless steel cup of cold water beside my bed, and it's usually almost gone by the time I get up. Meds cause ridiculous dry mouth/dehydration feeling.

You won't be doing it when you get older, you'll want your sleep.

I drink a half a cup of hot water with a 1/4 teaspoon of salt right before bed to avoid peeing all night. Works like a charm.

A cup of herbal tea before bed and water on my nightstand if I wake up thirsty.

I struggle with sleep and am currently pregnant so waking up to pee is 100% a thing every night. It is actually recommended to limit how much you drink 2hr before bed so that you don't/are less likely to wake up in the middle of the night to go pee.

YellowTonkaTrunk Apr 1, 2026 +1
I usually drink through a 32 oz bottle of water during the night. I’m pregnant so I know I’ll have to get up a million times to pee either way and every time I wake up to pee I also wake up SO thirsty and need to chug some water before I can go back to sleep lol.

I take all my medication at night so I have my thermos of water on my nightstand. It also helps if I wake up with a dry mouth especially during times when I'm congested.

I’d be way more concerned about your mom making you do stuff unless you’re an actual kid.

Never drink before bed. I always brush my teeth though.
1
Preference_Afraid Apr 1, 2026 +1
I make it through my daily gallon by about seven or eight pm. I only allow myself more liquid after that time if I'm truly still thirsty or my pee looks like I'm dehydrated. I hate having to get up to pee. I can never get back to sleep so, I have to cut myself off early

My daughter and I were talking about water consumption today. It turns out we both drink a glass before bed, take a glass to bed in case we wake up in the middle of the night thirsty, and we drink 2 glasses upon waking up. We don't always drink in the middle of the night, but its nice to know its there. Yeah, sometimes we get up to pee.
