Riz Ahmed: ‘Just Like Hamlet, We’re Being Gaslit’

They can’t even actually come to terms and say he is British - Pakastani. Lets white wash this and make it more palatable for out readers and call him asian.

I really, really, really want to see his take on Hamlet but it's not playing in any of the theaters around me. I wish they would take a chance and play more indie films. Though I understand why they don't. Almost every time I watch an indie film, the theater is barely a third full. And that is even when the room was small to begin with. I wish more people would take chances and go watch an indie film. Just watch it. You don't need the mountain of snacks and all the merchandise they are selling in the lobby. Simply, see a movie. Something that was clearly someone's passion project. There are really great movies out there that are being ignored by the general public.
