RTX is going to be very busy in the coming years meeting all the production backlogs from Ukraine to the US to Taiwan.

Moved a small portion of my portfolio into RTX and other defence stocks at the start of the Ukraine War and it payed off very well. I figure if I can't stop the military industrial complex I might as well use them to help me retire.

Eh I don't blame you for that, hell I kinda feel that myself. But no one here is gonna look out for me so I might as well get mine before it's gone. Welcome to capitalism where good people to bad things to survive.

I like to think that good people would go out of their way to find alternative investments that isn't war profiteering nor supporting the military industrial complex, it's not like your hands are tied in this capitalist free market there's plenty of investment opportunities, no ?
You're making a conscious choice to trade your righteousness for ease and comfort. Reminds of that video "if I don't steal it, someone else will"
I get that your $ is just a drop in the ocean... but it seems to me that line of thinking perpetuates a lot of suffering
anyway, I hope more good comes your way 🙏

B**** and complain, and pretend to have to morale high ground by doing nothing, except telling people how virtuous he is

My favorite part is that they're sending defensive weapons to Ukraine and he's getting upset. I wonder what side of the fence he's on hmm

There’s been “socially conscious” vs “sin” thoughts about investing since the start.
Socially conscious funds available to the hoi polloi (aka “small fry”) started in the late 1980s that didn’t buy then tobacco, alcohol, casinos, apartheid-gold mining, or weapons stocks, now called “ESG” screens ... but then these immediately gave rise to “sin” funds that expressly bought tobacco, alcohol, casinos, and weapons stocks.

You think supporting and profiting from a company helping Ukraine to defend itself against Russia is a disgusting mindset? If I work at a company with links to the defence industry that then indirectly helps Ukraine, then would that also be a disgusting mindset to have?

He's making the stock more expensive for the war mongering inside traders. Not like contracts are being handed out based on stock price

The new factory in Germany should be able to keep Ukrainian Patriots supplied. The issue is Europe is slow to scale up Aster 30s for SAMP/T

Can't wait to see how Listnookors handle this.

Considering how listnook is overwhelmingly pro Ukraine, I would say it will be well received? Also it will be a while before these interceptors will be available. The deal was just finalised, wasn't it?
