Operation Desert Thunder (Nov–Dec 1998) was a U.S.-led military build-up in the Persian Gulf designed to compel Iraq to comply with UN weapons inspections. It involved a massive deployment of coalition
Operation Epic Blunder (Feb 2026-???) is a social media waged war with no leadership in sight and no end in sight, not to mention any clearly stated objectives, despite the war being declared completed and won multiple times. It is a crapshow and a cluster[redacted] conducted by a thin-skinned tyrant that is more interested in ballroom renovations than ending his war of choice.

You know that's not legally necessary right? Just a courtesy and a made up narrative here on listnook that its a legal needed process.
Obama did it on Libya, Biden in Yemen.
The difference is when Trump does it, listnook has a collective meltdown.
If Trump wanted to go through the 60 days, congress wouldn't do jack shit and neither would the supreme court. Listnook made up narratives don't mean anything, other than for all of you and your fantasy world.
Edit: I think this blockade is hurting the IRGC very bad, and their desperation to go back to war while the US laughs about it says a lot.

> “The operation is over,” Rubio said at a White House briefing. “We’re done with that stage of it.” **In its place, Rubio clarified, the United States has shifted to a “defensive” posture focused more on restoring commercial passage through the Strait of Hormuz**, the narrow waterway that carries a significant share of the world’s energy supplies and has effectively been choked off since the conflict intensified.
So the war is over, despite the US blockade (which is an act of war) still being ongoing. So the defensive efforts are to protect the blockade to force open the Strait [and get things "back to the way it was" with the Strait as Marco said earlier,](https://www.the-independent.com/news/world/americas/us-politics/marco-rubio-iran-white-house-cypress-hill-b2971028.html) you know like how it totally open with no issues before this war started.

If the IRGC wants to keep an international strait closed to international traffic, somebody has to counterblockade the IRGC. It's only fair.

It's probably worth remembering the only reason they closed it is because they were attacked. And the reason they were attacked is because they were allegedly trying to make a nuclear weapon -- something there is zero credible evidence for, and something they agreed not to do *with international inspections* until the US blew up the deal. So, you know. Bit of a clusterfuck from the US.
Oh, yes, and all of us should be getting off oil for a great many reasons. Would be easier without the US fighting against that move tooth and nail for decades.

IRGC proxies such as the Houthis sell 100,000s of underage girls into sexual slavery every single year.
Yemen, Lebanon and Gaza are ground zero for IRGC warmongering. Hezbollah, Hamas and the Houthis are all funded by Iranian taxpayers and used by the IRGC as proxies for bombing civilians.
Gulf states and Ukraine [are also targeted by IRGC warmongering](https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/n3csy4vq).
The Iranian population itself also wants a government chosen by and for the Iranian people instead of a religious dictatorship that kills and imprisons Iranians for "dressing immodestly," protesting or criticizing the government.

"Epic Fury" ends. "Resumed Fury" starts tomorrow. We're either going to prevent Iran from nuclear weapons or we won't. If we don't and religeous radicals initate a nuclear exchange, we'll wish we had taken them out when we had a chance. But maybe we can rely on them being rational and responsible.
