I gave birth to my son on the day of the four season press conference. I was so out of it on drugs that I could believe that was actually happening! My husband and I were laughing so hard. Then I had my C-section and I was on loads of p********** while watching his hair melt on TV! Honestly, the whole thing was so trippy. I think you're misremembering. The whole idea (as presented in the movie - I obviously don't know how much was presented as such in real life) is that she was a teenage reporter doing the interview for what's basically a high school newspaper. Like, I guess if you want to be REALLY generous there's some legal wiggle room for him to claim "oh I thought she was 18 cuz there are 18 year old high schoolers," but it was definitely not just a random journalist.

I lived in the city during the entire time he was mayor. Before 9/11 he was a pathetic joke walking around town with his mistress. But during and after 9/11 he was an extraordinary leader. More so than the governor and more so than the president. To see what happened to him is tragic. He is a fraud. An embarrassment and a disgrace. To see him die and be remembered as the guy with the shoe polish dripping down his hair at some lawn parking lot is nothing I could have imagined. He brought this on himself.

Everyone thinks of him as some sort of hero, nobody talks about the fact that he denied first responders the necessary funding to upgrade their communications systems after the first attack on the WTC years earlier. The fire department was unable to communicate with their personnel within the WTC due to the construction of the building, and asked for an upgrade to the system so they'd be better prepared if they had a similar situation in the future. Giuliani said they didn't need it, and hundreds of first responders needlessly died on 9/11 because of it.
