Funnily enough I was in Cuba for both of those bits of news dropping. The jubilation with Obamas move was palpable, lots of happy folk, music on every street corner, drinking, genuine excitement. I returned 3(?) years later when Trump was in charge and announced the reversal (with extra sanctions). In that couple of years of lessened sanctions and push to normalisation with Obama Cuba had changed so much for the better... Public wifi spots in near every blocks public park/square, the entirety of Havana Viejo had been completely refurbished, a massive tourist boom pouring in money, construction material piled up on every block as Cubans rebuilt and started on much needed maintanence of their homes and buildings... Even out in the countryside it was very common to see people adding rooms to their homes... It was an absolute boom in the economy. Then Trump announced the reversals. I was actually trapped in a tobacco dry house in Vinales (due to tropical storm and I got there on horseback) when the news came in. Seeing our farmer guides face was heartbreaking as he fully understood the ramifications. I was also unfortunately trapped with some Texan Trumper in the same dry house who defended the move and assured us all Trump was *looking out for Cubans* - upon hearing my accent and learning I'm from N. Ireland he also started speaking about how the Orange Men were cool good guys here... Those same orange men would've killed me 30yrs ago for being the ethnic background that I am. Their f****** confident ignorance knows no bounds.

It's because it's a cancer vaccine. Immunitybio developed cancer vaccines / immunotherapy with 10 years of data now. Big Pharma has worked hand in hand with FDA to block it's progression to markets because it would it would impact their $B radiation and chemotherapy market. They don't want a cure to cancer is it's bad for business.
