I've said it before. Trump *just happening to help Putin* isn't a pattern. It's a f****** loop.

Why did we have a blockade in the first place to choke Cuba out of their oil so they can't even run hospitals to save people, let alone millions of starving people? Honest question, too much going in the world and Cuba sounded like it got the c*** end of the stick.

Because Rubio hates Cuba. That's it.

60 years of US resentment at having a ‘communist’ regime just off its coast. Castro and his regime introduced universal healthcare and education, which were essentially absent for ordinary Cubans before the revolution. Cuba would be a very prosperous country today if it wasn’t for the US.

That’s simply false. Their biggest trading partners are Spain, China, Germany and France - you can clearly see they freely trade with a lot of wealthy western nations, not everyone has to revolve around the US. They are dirt poor because their economic doctrine is not viable in the real world, no socialist economy can ever be prosperous.

So you’re saying Cuba’s current economic struggles have nothing to do with over 60 years of US sanctions, coups, and interference? Name one country that tried socialist policies without US meddling

You're incorrect. Trade with all of those countries is limited by the US embargo. Their primary export is medical services because medicine us exempt from the embargo They do not have free trade as you claim

Why would you try tu push false information when their trade volumes are publicly available? Top exports (among all trading partners) are Nickel, Rum, Cigars and tobacco related products, Zinc and Cane sugar both raw and refined variants - in this order. Medical exports aren’t even in their top 10 categories…

US are terrorists thats why. They simply dont like Cuba and want to weaken it before they invade.

CyanConatus Mar 30, 2026 +6
Well, long story short the Cuban government structure (Socialist) isn't what the US wants. And the US doesn't like that. It's more complicated than that but basically comes down to that

Never complicated when colonialism is the end game.

Hard to fathom that tens of millions of Americans thought electing a wimp president was the way to go.

pres465 Mar 30, 2026 +8
George H.W. Bush was famously labeled a wimp President. Even though he was WII fighter pilot and head of the CIA for years. Donald isn't even a wimp. He's a draft dodger with no impulse control and no respect for the military.

super_fallguys Mar 30, 2026 +3
The intent in my use of the word wimp is pointing out the fact Trump has no conviction in the things he believes in, and therefore makes positions that is circumstantially and politically beneficial to him and distances himself from those that inconveniences him. He is a show business person, and runs our government like a show business. Yes he has no impulse control and yes he has no respect for others. Personally, I think he is weak and not strong.

Bold to use the term "loosened". More like US did not want a confrontation with Russia.

How does this help the US? How does this even help the aspired takeover of Cuba?
4
Fit-Cable1547 Mar 30, 2026 +5
I think he's just letting Cuba dangle until he can get out of the mess he's started in Iran. If that's even possible at this point... Then he'll be back to "taking" Cuba.

“Why don’t you tell the 800,000 Polish Americans right here in Pennsylvania how quickly you would give up for the sake of favor and what you think is a friendship with what is known to be a dictator, who would eat you for lunch” - Kamala Harris

So, I am glad Cuba is getting the oil. For the people of Cuba who are suffering. In fact, the US should have allowed oil to come from anywhere. But oh look. It’s from Putin. Come on USA. Trump is Putins b****. It’s right in front of your noses. Wake up already.

It's a high-stakes waiting game. Most crews are on 24/7 security watch due to the "warlike operations" designation, balancing extreme boredom with the constant threat of drones or mines. Under maritime law like the MLC, they're technically entitled to high-risk danger pay and have the legal right to refuse to stay in the zone, but with 2,000 ships stuck, many are just focused on maintaining "dark mode" readiness and hoping for a naval e***** or a diplomatic breakthrough to get them moving again.

Sadly I do thank you but I still on the table towards the end of the year. I think this was just Trump's way of dangling Cuba off a little longer while he looks for a way out of the huge mess he has made in the Middle East.
