Unfortunately, there were hits in Volyn, Zakarpattia, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Cherkasy, and Ivano-Frankivsk oblasts.

My understanding is that PMI is kinda forward looking. It's asking companies about what sort of orders they're making now, but the effect of those orders on production will show up in the coming months?
So we're seeing manufacturing weakness in Russia now because of things PMI captured months ago.
The new PMI data suggest that Russia's manufacturing will continue to struggle for longer. Promising.

Gonzo style but with a history of good research.
> The digital iron curtain just fell. This week, we dive into the total communications blackout in Moscow and St. Petersburg as the Kremlin panics over satellite photos of their burning oil terminals. But the internet ban is just the beginning.
> We’re tracking the terminal phase of the Russian economy: the 39% food-poverty trap, the mandatory 15% labor purges, and the terrifying “Soviet” plan to confiscate 67 trillion rubles in civilian bank accounts. Meanwhile, the military-industrial complex is a grift. We look at the scavenged reality of the trenches, where Russian troops are crowdfunding DIY rocket tubes and using electric kick-scooters for assaults, while the elite hallucinate about a thousand new passenger jets.

I wish more people took Kristap's work seriously. The presentation has flaws, most of which I think are artifacts of him doing this podcast in his third language, but the facts and analysis have been proven out time after time.
He's able to go much, MUCH deeper into the Russian information space than any other English language source I know of. Sometimes that results in dead-end rabbit holes that don't seem to matter in the moment, but it creates a map of the social and emotional territory that explains many otherwise inexplicable trends and forces inside Russia.
His work on the influence of late Soviet/Russian prison culture on the current Russian government is incredible, and I find the framing of the current regime as an actively apocalyptic death-cult extraordinarily useful.

I like posting these. Air defence is really expensive.
To me (not an expert) looks like the S-300 radar was hit, at least by the blast, it was static in a tree line. Could be a decoy.
The Tor had moving parts and people around. Less likely to be a decoy, but the drone angle when the video cuts out makes me think it wasn't a hit. Ukraine's drones have bigger warheads now and even a miss can do damage though.

Here is where Russia is planning to get the next batch of assault troops.
Rectors of Russian universities have been instructed to ensure that at least 2% of their students sign contracts for military service...
As of 2025, 2.2 million male students were enrolled in Russian universities. If the stated target is met, the Russian invading military would gain 44,000 students, the media notes.
Meanwhile, if the 2% target is also applied to technical colleges, a total of 76,000 people could sign contracts with Russia’s Ministry of Defense.
