TLDR: * Ryan Gosling says fatherhood made him view his *Project Hail Mary* character’s decisions differently * Gosling’s daughters helped him on set by voicing his alien costar during filming, adding personal charm to scenes * The actor and longtime love Eva Mendes prioritize privacy for their daughters and focus on hands-on parenting when not working

Childless people hate to hear it, but there are some things that only parents can fully understand.

Not to start something but it does blow my mind that aggressively child free people think they do understand parenting and that parents somehow don’t understand what being child free is. Like we are all child free at some point until we aren’t and then we get that new experience. And that’s fine to not understand it. It’s *literally new* I also think a lot of parent free people are not ready to accept that the “lows” of parenthood are not much lower , if they even are, than what they are experiencing but the highs are often leaps and bounds higher. Just live your life and don’t be a prick. With or without kids.
