Ryan Reynolds Says Deadpool Will Be a 'Supporting Character' Moving Forward: 'Don't Think I Am Ever Going to Center Him Again'
Ryan Reynolds appeared in a live conversation on 'Sunday Today with Willie Geist.' Deadpool, the foul-mouthed superhero he has written and played on the big screen, is 'a supporting character,' he opined. 'I don't think I'm going to center him again,' Reynolds said, referring to unconfirmed future 'Deadpool' installments.

Idk. Kinda feel like this is his way of keeping folks from being burnt out before inevitably announcing yet another movie.

Yes, makes sense.

You know with all these guys there will be at least two more movies: One "Logan" when they’re at the end of their viability as leading roles in an action film and one "Doomsday" when they’re at the end of their viability in the role entire.

I already saw on another sub that Deadpool 4 will likely be out before the new x-men movies.

Is that a critique?

His corny style should be for support not a whole movie.

Thats why he's perfect for Deadpool.

He’s not even acting. He’s just being himself in every movie. It was entertaining at first, but now he’s obnoxious.

Welcome to Deadpool in every piece of media he’s ever been in.

Literally compared himself to Reynolds in the comics. Like it’s his roll for the next while at least.

He was so obnoxious in Deadpool vs Wolverine, I was not shocked he, at the same time, was stealing another person's movie. It just made sense he was.

He plays the same character in every movie. If no more snarky sarcastic roles, maybe he’ll try comedy?

Probably for the best, it was charming and fun for 2 movies but it started getting a little stale and annoying by D&W. Hugh Jackman and Channing Tatum did most of the heavy lifting in that one. They should just do X-Force movies and/or save him for the occasional essemble movie.

As far as im aware Ryan Reynolds is trying to get an X Force movie made.

I've been dreaming of an Uncanny X-Force movie ever since we had Deadpool and X-Men Apocalypse releasing in the same year. The set up was perfect but they just didn't do it.

Deadpool VS Wolverine was like an Adam Sandler Marvel Movie. If you just like the cast, sure, but it was pretty much a pointless paycheck of a movie.

The movie had one purpose (beyond making a bunch of money), to recognize that the fox branch of marvel movies exist and include them inside the MCU with the ridiculous multiverse arc they've been on.

Would have been better if it was set on the fox earth and had a more grounded plot. F*** the void.

Isnt almost every movie a pointless paycheck of a movie?

Sure if you prescribe to the idea that entertainment is all meaningless. If you did though you'd see the irony of being on listnook.
