Honestly what is Pakistan even doing? Apparently their military budget is only 1.7% so like where is the rest going? Military general’s pocket?

General got a new gulf stream 600 and his GF governor of Punjab got a gulf stream 500. They have foreign crews paid for and ready to flee Pakistan when they get overthrown. Till then grift continues.

Looks like Saudi Arabia is renting an army as a service. The rich Middle East countries military suck, so they prefer to hire mercenaries or have other armies do the dirty work

yea Arab modern armies are a joke while Pakistan's Army is calibrated to halt an enemy 6-10x their size and have tons of real world experiance unlike the pampered arab brats. there is actually an interview of a Pakistani fighter pilot that volunteer against Israelis back in the arab Israeli wars the managed to score some kills as well but he said the arabs are never beating the Israelis as they cant recognize basic ambushes and cant implement rudimentary tactics

The UAE has a reasonably capable military, the rest suck though.

That is aboragation of how the military is funded, they own most of the companies and have alot of ways to siphon money from the federal government.

Basically, if you’re not a soldier, any position in command comes with benefits, houses, cars, servants, land etc etc. this model applies to public government too. You can now imagine how corrupt things are there. I honestly don’t know how it functions. They constantly just beg for loans, fill their pockets, beg for loans and the cycle repeats and repeats

Pakistan’s military leadership is essentially a dictatorship .

FD I'm Indian. That being said, from the outside whatever I can see, it feels like the military-bureaucratic nexus has hoarded all the wealth for themselves, and fire off the needy countryfolk's shoulders when they perpetually beg for money. Not to say that certain autocratic regimes are always out to rent a militia. Like any competent military, once they were hired to guard a football game. Isn't that something? As a Pakistani, majority of us are aware of how corrupt our politicians are, they are scumbags at the highest level. Especially the military who is running our country.

Pakistan is corrupt as f***. They’re a leach and a mooch. It’s why they’re here pretending to do something.

Saudi Arabia will use Pakistani military to kill houtis in Yemen. Pakistanis scream free Palestine on streets of NYC but betray ummah and kill fellow houthi muslims for few dollars in loans. Will be fun to see Pakistani propoganda machine do mental gymnastics about doing work for Isra.

The houthis enslave other muslims and keep yemen as a failed state

So saudi money is not credited to account but the narrative building / mental gymnastics has already started? I thought Pakistan was “free palestine” / water melon on social media profile country!! What happened to protector of muslims the Islamic republic of Pakistan?

justdidapoo 3 days ago +1
The houthis have killed far more muslims this decade than Israel

because this is the fundamental identity of pakistan ? islam is the region pakistan was even made. the problems that pakistan and consequently its neighbours suffer from stem from islam.

Pakistan has avoided Yemen with a 10ft pole. In 2015 the Saudi's asked if Pakistan wanted to be part of their coalition in Yemen and the Pakistanis refused since it did not make any sense for the Pakistanis to risk relations with the Iranians.

Pakistan has a significant Shia population which was the bigger reason for avoiding the Yemeni conflict and sectarian conflicts in general

Pakistan doesnt have a choice here. They can start a war with Afghans to show they are busy but Saudis wont give them any rope this time. If they do a terror attack and start a war with India, India will go all out !

As an Indian, I sincerely hope Pakistan people get rid of corrupt army generals and bring true democracy. I see corruption in India very high but Pakistan is at another dimension, they create unrest internally and externally to justify their military spending and throw democracy in the bin.

Thats impossible tbh. China and America both love where Pakistan are today. I believe the Americans can do a more of a successful operation in Pakistan (despite them being a nuclear state) to ensure they get a fully functioning democracy but they won't. Geopolitics is weird, and we India are surrounded by threats from every neighbour around us. In the end they will remain a failed nuclear state.

US doesn’t give a f about bringing democracy. We’ve supported dictators who lean towards us over what people of that country wanted.

Ironically Denuclearization and balkanization in Punjab, Balochistan, Sindh and KPK are only two things that save people of Pakistan. Else military continues its corruption n tyranny on civilians under protection of nuclear umbrella knowing there will be zero consequences.

As a Chinese I just see this to be very interesting, especially Pakistan may be requested to make strikes into Iran to defend Saudi Arabia. We may actually see VT-4 tanks/ PCL-181 guns, and JF-17 or even J-10C being used in attacking Iran, it will be absurd to see Chinese and US weapons used to strike a same country

Most of world understands that loans are meant to be returned. Its about time Pakistan stops being thankless and spreads anti UAE propoganda for asking their money back
