Definitely the villain that totally would've gotten away with it if it wasnt for those meddling kids.

neogreenlantern Mar 24, 2026 +297
I'm thinking red herring. Bonus points if he's actually Red Herring from Pup named Scooby doo
297
Rusty__Buntafolio Mar 24, 2026 +38
Loved how Fred always looked dumb for his eternal feud with Red... A joke I didn't understand as a kid.
38
Aggressive_Noise6426 Mar 25, 2026 +3
I think the one time Fred doesn’t accuse him is the one time he actually was the bad guy right?
3
ContinuumGuy Mar 25, 2026 +2
IIRC there was a flashback that he'd done it in their first case.
2
BirdmanTheThird Mar 24, 2026 +14
Yeah tbh I’m thinking he’s the “red herring to the red herring” aka he’s not the guy who tricks the gang first but he’s who the audience thinks did it
14
mikeweasy Mar 24, 2026 +8
That character is how I leanred what a Red Herring is!
8
904Funk Mar 24, 2026 +30
Pup Named Scooby Doo is still the best iteration of the tv show(grew up in the 90’s with all of the eras)
30
Bears_On_Stilts Mar 25, 2026 +2
I heard once (can't confirm if it's true) that the show's existence was the result of a studio compromise. Two different execs were pitching Scooby spinoffs in the late eighties, and one wanted it campy, self-aware and retro with musical numbers (a la Little Shop of Horrors), while another wanted Scooby Babies. So... they did both.
2
Witty-Lawfulness2983 Mar 24, 2026 +5
Had not thought about that character in 25 years!
5
NoHorseNoMustache Mar 24, 2026 +5
I just watched both seasons of Mystery Inc and was disappointed that Red never made an appearance.
5
lowmankind Mar 25, 2026 +2
More of a Stingray really…
2
GambitsAce23 Mar 25, 2026 +1
sort of red herring imo
1
Danominator Mar 24, 2026 +35
Pretty sure hes daphne
35
inplayruin Mar 24, 2026 +13
This better not awaken anything in me
13
bigdaddyt2 Mar 24, 2026 +8
Oh god is Mindy in charge of this scooby doo too?
8
ContinuumGuy Mar 24, 2026 +9
Either that or the red herring for it.
9
MisterTruth Mar 24, 2026 +3
Red Herring is the same age as the kids
3
I-Have-Mono Mar 24, 2026 +3
TMZ is reporting he’s actually mo-capping Scooby.
3
franlcie Mar 24, 2026 +3
I thought the rumour was he was playing Scooby’s original owner
3
greatgoogliemoogly Mar 24, 2026 +3
I honestly think he'd make for an incredible Fred.
3
shallstorm Mar 24, 2026 +3
At first glance before reading the plot details in the article I thought they cast him as Mister E.
3
Creative_Eye7413 Mar 25, 2026 +2
I think he will be playing Scooby’s owner. On 3C Film’s most recent livestream he mentioned that Scooby will start out with an owner
2
s0ulbrother Mar 25, 2026 +2
There’s a good show on Apple about him murdering kids. Maybe it’s the origin story
2
antiMATTer724 Mar 25, 2026 +2
I'd watch it. He's been good in everything I've seen him in.
2
DoubleDownAgain54 Mar 25, 2026 +2
Kids are the worst.
2
TonyWonderslostnut Mar 24, 2026 -14
It’s Netflix, so he’ll probably be Shaggy
-14
JamStan1978 Mar 24, 2026 +3
they already revealed the cast for the gang and its actually really good.
3
Last-Tune1001 Mar 24, 2026 +6
Did you even read the article?
6
TonyWonderslostnut Mar 24, 2026 -7
Obvious joke apparently wasn’t obvious to you.
-7
goddamnitwhalen Mar 24, 2026 +5
You forgot the funny!
5
FX114 Mar 24, 2026 +4
It just wasn't a good joke.

Close enough, welcome back Mole Man.
196
ContinuumGuy Mar 24, 2026 +65
“Don't be mad at me, Johnny, I didn't dress you."
65
PayneTrain181999 Mar 24, 2026 +22
Love how he has a great rapport with Sue but dunks on the rest of them every chance he gets.
22
InnocentTailor Mar 24, 2026 +31
He was also amazing in the Naked Gun. He decking the psycho kids was hilarious.
31
TrumpnEpstein Mar 24, 2026 +10
If I had a nickel for every role PWH had where he decks kids, I'd have two nickels.
10
CuteGrayRhino Mar 24, 2026 +18
Him as Mole Man as so underutilized in that mole. They should have given us a proper fight scene with him vs F4 before he got arrested in the introduction.
18
NoNefariousness2144 Mar 25, 2026 +6
There was 10-15 minutes of Mole Man stuff they cut out of the opening. Its why the scenes of Mole Man taking the building underground looked so high-quality compared to the rest of the montage. Plus Paul himself said they cut most of his scenes out.
6
PayneTrain181999 Mar 24, 2026 +5
“GLORY TO THE UNDERGROUND!”
5
Saganists Mar 24, 2026 +213
Hopefully Jamie Taco doesn’t steal all his lines.

You would joining this project too if you had his wife.

Red Herring!
15
dont_shoot_jr Mar 24, 2026 +11
Imagine if he won another Golden Globe for Scooby
11
StoneGoldX Mar 24, 2026 +5
He hasn't had it in years. Professional wrestler Jeff Jarrett stole it and would hit people over the head with it. To my knowledge, it was never returned on TV.
5
AlexTorres96 Mar 24, 2026 +3
Wrestlers today are too stupid and don't have the street smarts than Double J and Big S*** have. Those fuckers play chess while everyone else plays connect four. They played everyone like fiddles and nobody with braincells bother to copy their playbook. They'd rather kill themselves for imaginary star ratings instead of being cutthroat businessmen. Big S*** and Jarrett aren't marks for star ratings, they're all business and have always been two steps ahead.
3
murderisntnice Mar 25, 2026 +1
Jarrett also hasn't ever defended the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Championship, that carny piece of trash. Double or Nothing match against PWH at Double or Nothing or bust.
1
Juunlar Mar 24, 2026 +7
I'm in
7
slawnz Mar 25, 2026 +7
Heck yeah, this guy is great in everything he’s in.
7
heinzmario Mar 24, 2026 +29
Hope Jamie Taco doesn't end up taking his lines.
29
LiberContrarion Mar 24, 2026 +4
Hey, gang: Think that backpack looks suspicious?
4
melkor555 Mar 24, 2026 +7
Why won't this guy let the spoon man have any parts
7
dewittless Mar 24, 2026 +5
Finally, a body positive scrappy doo
5
deepstatelady Mar 24, 2026 +4
Can't wait to see him as Velma.
4
Aevum1 Mar 25, 2026 +4
as long as they keep Mindy Kailing as far away from it as humanly possible.
4
karmagirl314 Mar 24, 2026 +9
Is that the guy from Cruella? I liked him.
9
MeasurementNo0 Mar 24, 2026 +11
I really like this dude.  Hope he gets more work
11
batatasta Mar 25, 2026 +2
hes been in a million things the last few years haha hes doing about as well as any actor could do
2
MeasurementNo0 Mar 25, 2026 +1
I guess I need to look harder.
1
JonBoy82 Mar 24, 2026 +8
Dudes on a generational run. First time I saw him was on Kingdom as Keith.
8
travio Mar 24, 2026 +13
Always Sunny for me. [No idea who he was was at the time, though](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h05SKJyzQL4)
13
MikeDubbz Mar 24, 2026 +3
The blooper of him asking Charlie if he's ever had sex, cracks me the hell up.
3
travio Mar 24, 2026 +2
That is an all timer. Watching the other cast members try to keep from breaking is great.
2
MikeDubbz Mar 24, 2026 +3
Definitely the series with the all around best funniest bloopers ever. Bar none.
3
Puppetmaster858 Mar 24, 2026 +3
By far the best bloopers ever and it’s not even close, seeing all the improv they do is awesome too
3
icameinyourburrito Mar 24, 2026 +3
Glenn mentioned somewhere that he and Alanna Ubach (Roxy) were the guest stars that cracked them up the most on set
3
InternetProtocol Mar 25, 2026 +3
Alanna played Danny's daughter in the 90's movie Reniassance Man, ~25 years later she's his favorite hoor!
3
JonBoy82 Mar 24, 2026 +2
Dam I didn't realize he was in IASIP
2
CuteGrayRhino Mar 24, 2026 +8
Honestly, he's one actor I don't mind seeing in so many movies. And it's simply because he is that good at what he does.
8
shieldwall66 Mar 25, 2026 +1
Americana, Blackbird, The Luckiest Man in America.. just great performances every time.
1
aratcliffe Mar 24, 2026 +6
Yet another role Mitch didn't get.
6
mildmichigan Mar 24, 2026 +3
I know hes probably gonna play some kind of gag character, but wouldnt it be cool if he was our first live-action Mr E?
3
mrdalo Mar 24, 2026 +5

5
tryanewmonicker Mar 24, 2026 +2

I think he’d do Daphne justice honestly
2
_Dreamer_Deceiver_ Mar 24, 2026 +2
I will never not see him round housing a kid as stingray.
2
East1st Mar 25, 2026 +2
He looks just like Scrappy…minus the beard
2
Historical-Shock4365 Mar 25, 2026 +2
He’s gunna make a great Daphne
2
xOLDBHOYx Mar 24, 2026 +3
Incredible on Black Bird.
3
Kcidobor Mar 24, 2026 +2
Now I’m going to have to watch it. I love this guy
2
MaybeNotTooDay Mar 25, 2026 +2
Same. He was a great actor in the only two things I remember seeing him in. Richard Jewell and Blackbird.
2
Kcidobor Mar 25, 2026 +1
I loved him in Cruella and Fantastic Four
1
HelloitsmeEddie Mar 24, 2026 +1
I believe every character this guy plays, should be cool.
1
UsernamesAllGone1 Mar 24, 2026 +3
He'd better not leave his friend's sleepover then
3
PlayingPuzzles Mar 24, 2026 +3
Wait, so now it's not weird for a 40-year old man to have a sleepover with women pretending to be high-school girls?
3
Cmaclia Mar 24, 2026 +1

1
BlastMyLoad Mar 24, 2026 +1

1
shadowdra126 Mar 24, 2026 +1

Better put Mathew Lillard back in the books
1
Exotic_Musician4171 Mar 24, 2026 +1
He should play Daphne
1
HearTheEkko Mar 24, 2026 +1
He's totally playing Scrappy, his voice fits the character perfectly.

1
Weekly_Power6001 Mar 25, 2026 +1
Hauser is so versatile; I'd be totally hooked if he played Shaggy. This casting is perfect.
1
NoFnClue1234 Mar 25, 2026 +1
I just hope Jamie Taco doesn’t keep stealing his lines
1
Beefbase Mar 25, 2026 +1
Danny McBride would’ve been a good villain too lol.
1
BlazingInfernape2003 Mar 25, 2026 +1
I feel like he'd be a good Mr E
1
pongleme Mar 25, 2026 +1
Pretty sure I just saw this guy in "The Luckiest Man Alive" or something like that, about the gameshow. He was excellent in it.
1
Luminaire_Ultima Mar 25, 2026 +1
Good news.
1
hashtaglurking Mar 25, 2026 +1
Uninspired casting. They keep casting the same people in everything.
1
throwawaylogin2099 Mar 25, 2026 +1
Paul Walter Hauser is a phenomenal actor. Very versatile and I’m sure that whatever his role is in this he’ll be great. I’m always happy to see him getting work.
1
DugMma Mar 24, 2026
Just finished Kingdom , he was ridiculously good in that , already kinda liked him but man he made me big fan
0
ron9101 Mar 24, 2026
he is so good and we know he plays a villain pretty damn well. My guess is he is Scooby's awfull owner and also runs the camp
0
MikeDubbz Mar 24, 2026
I Think You Should Leave, Fantastic Four, Twisted Metal. This guy is getting around and I am loving it lol.
0
InternetProtocol Mar 25, 2026 +5
He's not in Twisted Metal, Stu is played by Mike Mitchell from the comedy group The Birthday Boys.
5
kolraisins Mar 25, 2026 +1
Also had a great role on The After-party (S2)
1
HardcoreKaraoke Mar 24, 2026
He has been on a great run with getting unique roles. He's always a scene stealer even if he's barely in a show/movie.
0
ThePensioner Mar 24, 2026 -3
Any work to get this guy off of AEW TV, more power to you!
-3
StoneGoldX Mar 24, 2026 +3
He wasn't at Revolution. I think he's mostly working with MLW lately.
3
ThePensioner Mar 24, 2026 -1
No we got the traditional Costco guys preshow instead and Shane Taylor taking a spear from a teenager. Love the company, just wish they would stop with the celebrity slop on a 345 minute run time…
-1
AlexTorres96 Mar 24, 2026
That idiot pulled a power play by demanding the Queenpins directors not use WWE footage because he wanted a spoiled rich kid to get the run instead. Gita Pullapilly and Aron Gaudet should've told him to go f*** himself and follow the script instead of pulling a power play.
0
Hylianhaxorus Mar 24, 2026 -1
I read somewhere he was being eyes to play scoobys original owner before shaggy saves him. Could be cute.
