> Russia has offered to provide Iran with unjammable drones and training on how to use them against American troops in the Gulf and perhaps elsewhere. Yes, that's what allies do. Everybody could see that coming.

So fiber optic drones? Doesn't Iran already have these? Hezbolah has been using them against Israel lately

RoundishWaterfall May 9, 2026 +13
I mean, drones are a numbers game. Having a few dozen vs thousands.
13
Be_quiet_Im_thinking May 10, 2026 +2
That’s a bit far for fiber. I would guess advanced AI drones.

Remember when the U.S. had allies (before Don T ruined that )?

OddDot724 May 8, 2026 +60

Remember waking up in the morning and forgetting you actually had a president because he was so boring.

The owners of the media do, and shudder every time they think about it.

Has Donny tried to tell Putin to quit it?
7
Vincentz0r May 10, 2026 +3
I thought the US was an ally of Russia now too
3
DigitallyDetained May 9, 2026 +2
Yeah, but the US doesn’t remember that, so they need articles such as this. Just look how they’ve treated their allies this past year.
2
ogredmenace May 10, 2026 +1
Yes and that’s why trump has helped Russia to kill Americans
1
Even_Trifle9341 May 9, 2026 -1
At this point if congress declared war, people would be guilty of treason.
-1
Coldstack1 May 8, 2026 +140
Doesn’t sound so secret.

noir_lord May 8, 2026 +28
Previously secret. In fact whoever leaked it is on Double Secret Probation.

Now would probably be a good time for some plucky journalist to ask Trump four questions: 1. Is he sure that Putin is his friend? 2. Wouldn't his efforts at foreign policy be so much easier if Russia was contained along its southern border? 3. How likely is it that a Ukrainian victory would inspire other countries (eg Kazakhstan) to defy Moscow more? 4. How much money (expressed in ballrooms) would it take to help to get Ukraine gaining ground against Russia again?

"You are a horrible journalist, where are you from?"

Ahhh the sweet words of the narcissistic abuser.

Anything to avoid answering the question.
1
mhedbergfan May 8, 2026 +26
the people who ask questions like this have their press passes revoked and aren't allowed in the WH
26
noir_lord May 9, 2026 +20
Other than getting them on the record I question whether access to the WH is any value to the ones who ask the awkward questions at this point.
20
the-es May 8, 2026 +17
Your boss isn't your friend. Putin isn't Trump's friend.
17
The_Grungeican May 9, 2026 +6
Yeah, but Trump doesn’t know that.

BendicantMias May 9, 2026 +4
Ukraine just got cash infusion from Europe. It's running out of men, not other nations' money. If the US wants to bail Ukraine, it'll have to make the same hard choice as required wrt Iran - put boots on the ground. The one thing even Trump is unwilling to do, even for his own war.
4
THE_CHOPPA May 9, 2026 +4
Well I think you and the Russians are going to be surprised to hear that the way Ukraine tech is advancing… they won’t need “ man “ anymore.
4
flirtmcdudes May 10, 2026 +1
why do you think asking questions would change anything? Clearly Putin has something on Trump
1
ZealousidealState127 May 8, 2026 -7
All Good questions for the EU. US is busy taking advantage of a weakened russian influence around the world. Moving on Iran weakened China and Russia. As did Venezuela and panama.

____DatBoi May 8, 2026 +15
They are helping Iran since the beginning, and nothing forces them to stop, chaos only serves them well.
15
DarkIllusionsMasks May 8, 2026 +11
I guess all that's left for us to do is remove all the sanctions on Russia, then. Whelp... whaddaya gonna do?
11
nikongod May 8, 2026 +22
The only people who this was a secret from probably can't read. Maybe can't tie their shoelaces either.
22
noir_lord May 9, 2026 +7
Now that’s unfair, Congress has staffers for tying their shoelaces.
7
Mewhomewhy May 9, 2026 +7
And Trump will say how clever and strong Putin is for doing it.
7
ZealousidealState127 May 8, 2026 +27
Their drones come from copying a USA lockheed model they hacked and forced to land. They then supplied Russia with the info https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shahed_drones
27
noir_lord May 8, 2026 +20
Stranger than that, that form factor is the Carcinisation of drone form factors. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dornier_DAR First time I saw a Shahed I was like I've seen that before, which is what an unhealthy interest in history (including cold war) gets you, that and people avoiding you at parties.

The Russians and Chinese moved in to help them build nuclear reactors that had been started by the west and build their enrichment capabilities. When they kicked out the US installed govt in favor of the theocracy. Russia got a German nuclear plant to reverse engineer. Interesting read https://world-nuclear.org/information-library/country-profiles/countries-g-n/iran

Trump got played like a fiddle.
20
The_Oregon_Duck May 9, 2026 +4
And he will still be a loyal b**** to daddy Putin. Agent Krasnov was a great investment for Putin.
4
RexDraco May 9, 2026 +1
No he wasn't, you are just thinking small and think he was played like a fiddle. America was played like a fiddle, Trump did exactly what he was paid to do.
1
Spare-Pace4283 May 9, 2026 +5
As opposed to it being a surprise?
5
RexDraco May 9, 2026 +1
Sorry we ruined the surprise. We tried really hard to keep it a secret.
1
aceismyfriend May 8, 2026 +5
In other words, ally helps an ally. This shouldn’t be so secret for anyone with a TV, radio or internet
5
RexDraco May 9, 2026 +1
Iran and Russia has had good relations since before I was born.
1
BruceForsyth55 May 8, 2026 +7
Hear that??? That’s the sound of Trump not giving a shit for some mad and unknown reason……….. Almost like they are in cahoots.
7
ArthurDaTrainDayne May 8, 2026 +3
A lot of “leaks” coming out this week
3
Syke_qc May 8, 2026 +3
Secret? Plan?
3
PapaGilbatron May 9, 2026 +3
Of course Russia will support Iran; especially after losing Syria.
3
shingster08 May 9, 2026 +3
Hmm I'm surprised that Russia is still capable of helping anyone. What with Ukraine kicking their asses on the Ukrainian front.
