I just watched the "Wolf Cola: PR Nightmare" *Sunny* episode last night. They really captured this vibe.
I wonder how the security firm feels about dogs?

I used to work for that security firm. They suck and hire anyone. That’s what they lost their Amazon contract (which accounted for 50% of their revenue)

And slapped the shit out of the host,
Then gave that person an award 🥇

I know when I’m crashing a high-profile/security event, I make sure I’m: in $150k worth of dress, heels & jewels, with a security team, my face is plastered on tons of posters & billboards, Benicio Del Toro just high-fived me, Beyoncé has me on speed-dial, and I’m dragging a truck-load of awards behind me.

Very little context from what I'm reading. I've worked security, and I've also worked at many event and concert venues in other capacities. I can tell you with confidence that it could be either one of them started it, or neither of them really did anything but the reaction caught the media's attention. Something small and not concerning can easily be misinterpreted.
Either way the media is probably jumping on this $DRAMA$ so prepared to see more posts about it
let's just ignore this nothing story. unless thre's video showing an aggressor.
EDIT hey look there is video but only of her reaction. I'm a bit surprised that they got such a clear and full shot of her reacting in the moment, in a crowded room with cameras out, but no footage of anything in the moment...

Sounds like the security company didn't do their job if they weren't aware of the people who were oscar nominees and winners. She's pretty well known, and that's on them for both the bad optics of trying to yet again police a Black person being in a space they belong in as well as reacting physically. They sound completely incompetent.

That’s right. Why were there no other black people there. The one black person in the area and of course they’re trying to stop her. Don’t they know who she is. I am surprised they let even one black person at the Oscar’s cause racism.

There's nothing suggesting it has anything to do with either. In fact there is so much context missing that without video, I don't care. It sounds like a nothing story.
Haven't worked many, many concerts and events in different capacities both attendees and security can get in over their heads and then start blaming each other.
the media jsut wants to feed on the drama

Just based off the sexual content in the film, I'd give it pretty good odds that PTA was thoroughly enjoying that headlock

Well that's the thing, isn't it? If we wait till we are absolutely, utterly without-a-shadow-of-a-doubt 100% sure and certain we will miss 999 incidents out of 1000. However, what we can say, is that Black people are sure as hell challenged in public space and assumed to not belong way more often than white people are, up to an including waiting for friends at Starbucks, so we do what we always do - take the numbers as a whole. It's how science and statistics work. That device in your hand you are using to give plausible deniability, works on quantum statistical probabilities. If you don't believe in probabilities maybe you should put the f***** down.
