All of Trump's Cabinet are election deniers. Markwayne in particular is so over the top violent that *Rand Paul* hates him.

We could have stopped this in committee if John Fetterman hadn't sold us out. The Working Families Party is asking us to request a refund of any contributions we made to his campaign. We can find [instructions on how to do so here](https://www.primaryfetterman.com/refund?utm_source=roganslist).

Nice. Putting a plumber in charge of Homeland Security during a war. Seems like a smart move

The more they keep putting in unqualified individuals to fill critical roles, the more it looks like they WANT an attack to happen here so they can be more heavy handed in their tactics here and abroad.

Gotta say, the term “Election Denier” has really not served anyone well other than the election deniers. It’s quite a convenient euphemism for “F****** Liar”. Not a single one of these people actually believes what they’re peddling.

Another slavish, bootlicking, MAGA diehard and Trump loyalist who is utterly unqualified for the position, and probably a little brain damaged. So much for "merit" based hiring... There's every indication that this is the most corrupt and incompetent administration in recent history. There's nothing merit based about Mullin's appointment. This regime is plagued by rampant cronyism, favoritism, Idiocracy and corruption. Governance by the unfit. The claim that Markwayne Mullin is unqualified for the position of DHS secretary is a massive understatement. - He has the temperament and aggression issues of a child bully. - He threatened to fight the Teamsters president during a Senate hearing in 2023. > "Sir, this is a time. This is a place. You want to run your mouth, we can be two consenting adults. We can finish it here." It was NOT the time, NOR the place. In fact, he later defended himself when he brought up caning and dueling while under questioning; claiming that these archaic practices are precedents that justified his behavior. - He also described Alex Pretti as a "deranged individual" before there was any investigation into his murder. - He said Renee Good's killing was justified. - He voted *against* certifying the 2020 election, and had to be reminded that one of his duties as DHS secretary would be to protect election integrity. - He refused to disclose foreign trips he took as a member of the house. - He was previously under investigation by the House Ethics Committee for multiple conflicts of interest involving his family's companies. He was also ordered to pay back money he had received through an "accounting error." - He was also investigated for receiving $600,000 in "outside income" while a member of Congress, which far exceeds the "legal limit" for a sitting representative. - He's also been accused of insider trading and has failed to disclose stock purchases. - Last year, Mullin quietly invested in over thirty companies. Investments that earned him nearly $3 million. This included a large investment in oil and gas companies like Chevron just before Maduro's capture. Chevron's stock price surged after the US military intervention in Venezuela. - He received $1.4 million in PPP loan forgiveness and had the audacity to condemn Joe Biden's student loan forgiveness program. - He signed a pledge back in 2011 to support term limits, which he never followed through on. He even promised himself that he would only run for three terms, which he also didn't commit to. - Then there's just his overall lack of experience and qualifications. Which we've already determined doesn't matter when it comes to Trump's appointments. The only qualification that matters is Mullin's loyalty to Trump. Something many senators voiced concerns about. Trump chose Mullin because of his fealty. Mullin is an election denier, he supported Trump's attempt to overturn the 2020 election, and he has had a personal relationship with Trump for years. He even spent time with Trump on his most recent campaign trail. Mullin has amplified Trump's messaging and rhetoric on social media, he constantly attacks Trump's critics, he has always come to Trump's defense, and he has played a major role in getting some of Trump's most controversial nominees appointed. The bottom line is, Mullin was nominated because Trump values loyalty above all else. He is a Trump sycophant who cannot be trusted to run DHS independently and impartially. He will see to it that all of Trump's mass deportation policy goals are advanced without hesitation.

He's definitely not the smartest man I know named Markwayne.

But of course. The Senate are people with cowards and Trump sycophants so of course they'll confirm him. And months from now, they'll act surprised when this low IQ Mullin fucks things up.

Senator Football is now, officially, the stupidest member of the Senate.

This is more evidence that they are merely sycophants who care only about having status and inside information.

We already knew Fetterman was a yes, but it looks like they got another one, too. Martin Heinrich of New Mexico. F****** cowards.

Didn't this have to get past the filibuster and didn't Thune say they weren't doing anything else until they finished with the save act?

It’s needed only a simple majority for years to break cloture and force a final vote for cabinet members
