[Serious] What's your advice on continuing to do something even if you're scared?

You know how in horror movies, the monster often seems much scarier BEFORE it's shown on screen? Most of life is like that. We fear the unknown instinctively even more than the horrible known. So often when I'm scared of something, I know I'm usually just scared due to the uncertainty, not the actual worst case scenario. This helps me just power through and do it.

Nothing of importance was ever achieved by someone that got scared and stopped…

Being scared usually just means it matters to you. Don’t wait to feel ready, just make it smaller and start anyway. even tiny steps count, and confidence kinda builds after you do it not before

It won't hurt you. It will it.

Think of the reason(s) why you want to do it, and see if it outweighs the fear.

Take smaller steps. Until it is scary; but not impossibly scary.

Doing something scared = Bravery, Courageous. I like to think of it as the SAS motto, "Who Dares Wins"

Sometimes if you are scared of something it’s your body telling you that you shouldn’t do it. It’d be nice to know exactly what you are scared of to give specific advice

i have to do something important to me (sterilization surgery) unfortunately my family won't approve or understand. and what's worse is that I'll likely have to lie to them so they can help drive me home. the consultation day is almost here and I could really use your advice 🥲🙏

I think about those men in the trenches in WWI or in the Higgins boat in WWII....they had no choice but to do things scared. Even the civilians lived in fear during those times but still had to press on. Look how far we've come. Dark times are inevitable for any rebirth to happen. Just gotta know and believe that it gets greater later 🫶✨🥰
