Looks like a load of ships just turned around and heading back into Gulf.

I don't blame them. I can think of a million places I'd rather be, than on a giant oil tanker in a mined Straight of Hormuz, with opposing militaries staring at me.

Politicians and journalists talk a lot but only these firms truly know if the strait is open or not.

Turns out market uncertainty & regional instability are bad for business. Great for gamblers, bad for business.

I see more and more ships moving to the straight. I'm no expert, just looking at this : [https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/home/centerx:56.2/centery:25.7/zoom:8](https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/home/centerx:56.2/centery:25.7/zoom:8)

It's like a traffic light by now.

There's still tons of mines there... Must be nerve-wrecking for captains to try a passage. Brave people.

There's a very narrow passage that has always been open if Iran wanted to let you through that isn't mined. It's incredibly close to land so blowing you away from there would be trivial for them if the "wrong" ships tried passing through.
