Just feels weird that the show released back in January but hasn’t gotten a UK release until May

Mrs Davis, the sci-fi thriller mini series from LOST/The Leftovers/Watchmen showrunner Damon Lindelof, and starring Betty Gilpin (Glow), aired in the US in April of '23. But it didn't get a UK date until ITVX bought it in November '24. Jokes, man. UK also had to wait an entire year for The Pitt cos HBO wanted to keep it as a Max launch title for Europe.

Yeah, that was great - amazing it hasn’t shown up somewhere. It’s Universal, so you’d think Sky. But if they think they can sell it somewhere for better money.

It’s presented as prestige, but it’s sooonlow budget. Even the actors… I dropped the show within 15 min of the first episode.

I did too. Someone who liked the show replied to me saying something similar, claiming that >!the opening sequence seeming extremely shitty (as if it had to be re-made but they didn't want expensive re-shoots, so they edited what they had combined with a voice over the radio to explain what was happening) was actually that way *on purpose* for plot reasons that would be revealed later!<, but if that's true, that's a great way to get people to quit on your show quickly.

Man.. as a hispanic.... pun-worth cast in this one.. Interviewer: "Hola Melissa, chida la produccion pero quien es el actor? " | "Hey Melissa, the production was pretty cool, but who's the actor?" Melissa: "Simu Liu" (sounds like se murio, which means 'he died') Interviewer:"hay.. bendito.. entonces pasemos para otra pregunta" (ah.. sorry to hear.. lets go to the next question)
