SITCOM/COMEDY fans, don’t sleep on Reggie Dinkins

Posted by Chsrmsy

If you love 30 Rock and a high joke per minute count, go watch The Rise and Fall of Reggie Dinkins. It’s the first show in a long time that’s made me want to rewatch immediately bc of how funny it is. Daniel Radcliffe is unexpectedly hilarious in this, and Tracy Morgan is still on top of his game. Add in the supporting cast and it’s quickly become my favorite ensemble since maybe Schitts Creek. Not affiliated with the network or anything, just a comedy nerd who loves a funny sitcom. Folks who watched, what are your spoiler free thoughts??

Agreed. Also everyone go watch Stumble so they bring it back.

No one knowing how to pronounce the name of the schools kills me every time.

GlacialEmbrace Apr 17, 2026 +4
Its the town that they can't pronounce lol Except the people born and raised there ofc
4
modestlunatic Apr 16, 2026 +33
Stumble was so good, honestly the best out of the ones that get recommended.
33
I_Just_Blue_Myself Apr 16, 2026 +11
Agreed. You talk about it jokes/minute! I couldn’t keep up.

I love both shows!
1
Chsrmsy Apr 16, 2026 +11
I admittedly haven’t seen stumble, but I’m doing that next, thanks for the reminder!
11
fakieTreFlip Apr 16, 2026 +3
it's just as good as Reggie Dinkins, so you're in for a treat
3
Dear_Half2871 Apr 17, 2026 +1
Stumble is like 30 Rock meets Parks and Rec in terms of high joke density and absurd small town vibes. I absolutely love it, my fave show of the year besides the Pitt
1
jgnashville Apr 17, 2026 +1
so so good. I'm telling everyone I know
1
Dumptruckfunk Apr 18, 2026 +1
YES! That show was so good. I was looking for something to fill the time and instead I fell in love. Just great stuff.

firesticks Apr 16, 2026 +45
I just binged this and it was incredible. Tracy Morgan’s comedic timing is impeccable, the writing is hilarious, and Daniel Radcliffe is delightful. I’m an old school 30 Rock fan so it’s right up my alley, but I can’t remember the last time I’ve paused a show so I can laugh. Tracy Morgan is that guy.

jackiebot101 Apr 17, 2026 +16
So far my fave jokes are Reggie watching TV and saying “this is my favorite skyrizzi commercial,” and at the dry cleaners, while he’s doing the Jamaican accent smash cut to then Tobin saying “we said no accents,” Reggie: “you’re doing an accent!”
16
firesticks Apr 17, 2026 +11
That last one killed me. My first was, him saying he took Latin at college so he could pick up Dominican girls.
11
jenorama_CA Apr 17, 2026 +3
We saw a Skyrizi ad and I asked my husband if it was Reggie’s favorite.
3
birdsofpaper Apr 18, 2026 +1
yes!! the skyrizzi commercial is what I tell people about when I tell them why I love the show/why they should watch.z
1
PepinoPicante Apr 17, 2026 +3
Me too. I’ve already gone back for some rewatches and there are tons of jokes still to be found.
3
bakedpatata Apr 16, 2026 +41
The NYFD: Chicago jokes were killing me. "The Bean is on fire and this pizza is deeper dish than I'm used to!"
41
minnick27 Apr 16, 2026 +18
And the tag at the end when a firefighter runs up and asks for a ride to the airport and they walk away and he’s in full gear dragging a suitcase
18
Chataboutgames Apr 17, 2026 +14
“Hey I’m walkin’ here! In Chicago!”
14
andypro77 Apr 16, 2026 +12
That's the Mayhem insurance guy, right? I love the one where Reggie said that he had to get back to the show because the firefighters in New York didn't know about the time difference so they were going to be late for the fire in Chicago.
12
Chataboutgames Apr 17, 2026 +15
You mean Dennis Duffy, Beeper King”
15

Hey dummy
9
darkeyes13 Apr 17, 2026 +6
And they couldn't find the transit fire because their subway was above ground!
6
leroyog Apr 16, 2026 +66
ooooh daddy, i agree. the show constantly gets a laugh out of me.
66
Cosmic_Gumbo Apr 16, 2026 +22
🎵 Oooh daddy🎵
22
sybrwookie Apr 17, 2026 +4
It is the first comedy we've watched in a long time where we have to rewind at least once an episode because we're laughing so hard at something, we missed the next thing.
4
jobu_the_enforcer Apr 16, 2026 +27
The show is silly in the best possible way
27
Chsrmsy Apr 16, 2026 +2
Couldn’t agree more haha
2
jobu_the_enforcer Apr 16, 2026 +9
The latest episode when it showed Takis collabed with Tampax I lost it
9
RecommendsMalazan Apr 16, 2026 +26
Can't decide if the best joke of the season was the looks like Elijah Wood joke or the Shrek owns Smash Mouth joke.
26
Chsrmsy Apr 17, 2026 +21
Elijah wood joke was excellent, but I also loved “Reverse Blind Side”
21
saintash Apr 17, 2026 +17
Mine was" was she calling me a vampire?" And later " and when I clearly calling you a vampire?"
17
_oh_save_me_jebus_ Apr 17, 2026 +12
I also laughed out loud at the Epstein Island/ Epstein Eye Land joke.
12
mob999 Apr 16, 2026 +58
I'm surprised that everyone seems surprised that Daniel Radcliffe is funny and hilarious. Did none of you watch "Miracle Workers"?
58
sheetskees Apr 16, 2026 +41
Or the weird al movie
41
Chsrmsy Apr 16, 2026 +14
Oh wow… I forgot about the weird Al movie and that’s on me. That movie was fantastic and Radcliffe was hysterical there
14
Rugil 5 days ago +1
Or Swiss army man
1
I_Did_The_Thing Apr 16, 2026 +12
Miracle Workers was SO GOOD. Every season! My favorite was the first season with Steve Buscemi, followed by the Mad Max one. Damn now I have to go rewatch them all!
12
microthrower Apr 17, 2026 +3
The other seasons also had Steve Buscemi...
3
I_Did_The_Thing Apr 17, 2026 +1
I forgot to add, “as god.” Ooops! 🤣
1
RagingOldPerson Apr 17, 2026 +2
Coming here to say the same thing. Loved Miracle Workers.
2
Chataboutgames Apr 17, 2026 +4
I mean it was on TBS so… probably not?
4
BruceChameleon Apr 17, 2026 +3
The half dozen people on this comment chain are also the only fans of Angie Tribeca
3
lillyrose2489 Apr 17, 2026 +2
Yesss Daniel Radcliffe is really good at comedy. I get that a lot of people just think he's Harry Potter but he's picked some really fun projects since then.
2
daiablo_dragon Apr 17, 2026 +3
Even before that, his episode of Extras showed he can definitely do comedy
3
jenorama_CA Apr 17, 2026 +1
Where he flings the condom into Diana Rigg’s face!

greennurse61 Apr 17, 2026 -3
Stop supporting a TERF.
-3
Shavell33 Apr 16, 2026 +15
Loved the family dynamics and how everyone gets camera time from the son, ex wife, fiancé and best friend
15
rockhammersmash Apr 16, 2026 +33
Loved it. The entire cast is strong and well suited for their characters. Frankly, the different actors’ facial reaction game is so strong and hilarious I’m surprised it hasn’t spawned dozens of memes already.
33
jenorama_CA Apr 17, 2026 +3
I haven’t seen Bobby Moynihan in a ton of stuff, but he’s really good in this.
3
rockhammersmash Apr 17, 2026 +4
“My body completed the seal!” is one of my favorite lines lol
4
tedsgloriousmustache Apr 16, 2026 +12
I mean I've always loved Bobby moynihan, buts he's my favorite part of this entire show. And the whole cast is great.
12
CountChocula20 Apr 16, 2026 +10
My wife and I love Reggie Dinkins. Its consistently funny and the jokes are top tier. Also, they have some great guest stars for just their first season.
10
FerretBueller Apr 16, 2026 +9
Despite being very over the mockumentary format, I liked this show a lot
9
Chsrmsy Apr 17, 2026 +2
Me too, I was upset that the 30 rock team was doing a mockumentary style but they kept the silliness and parody of it all so it works for me
2
nolander 3 days ago +2
It works for me here because it's almost like we are watching a mockumentary about the making of a mockumentary
2
IamNotTheMama Apr 16, 2026 +10
I feel like Dan Rad has F YOU money and just does whatever the f*** he wants. Miracles Workers was better, but I'm watching every episode of Dinkins!
10
Jealous-Stock715 Apr 16, 2026 +31
I really liked the little cliff hanger at the end of the season. Also, I think St. Dennis Medical is also really good.
31
All_Lightning879 Apr 16, 2026 +10
Came for Tracy Morgan, stayed for Daniel Radcliffe
10
Chsrmsy Apr 17, 2026 +9
I know right? Him and Megan thee are comedy gold haha
9
All_Lightning879 Apr 17, 2026 +10
That parkour over the car? I said: please let this a second season.🙏🏾
10
Chsrmsy Apr 17, 2026 +3
Yesss haha that was great
3
All_Lightning879 Apr 17, 2026 +6
Also, probably the best Epstein joke I’ve ever heard
6
wooltab Apr 16, 2026 +8
At least one time an episode, I laugh out loud in a way that not every sitcom manages. I'm not even a big 30 Rock fan. This show is just fun on its own terms.
8
ATXBeermaker Apr 16, 2026 +8
Does it get better? Because I watched the first two episodes and it didn’t do it for me. And I’m a huge 30 Rock fan (so maybe my expectations were too high).
8
fakieTreFlip Apr 16, 2026 +3
Yes, definitely, watch the 3rd episode at least, it's one of the funniest ones IMO
3
Chsrmsy Apr 17, 2026 +3
Yeah I agree but most comedies have to find their footing, it definitely got stronger as it progressed imo. (Also howdy from atx also if that’s also where you’re from based on username lol)
3
DoopSlayer Apr 17, 2026 +1
It grew on me, first few I was unsure if it would be worth continuing. Still not as strong as 30 rock but I can easily see a season 2 being at that tier.
1
SnickleFritz26 Apr 16, 2026 +14
It is genuinely laugh out loud funny! Top comedy form for all the actors involved. Also the title is “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins”, the opposite of what our brains want it to be… I finally realized it when I had the theme jingle in my head the other day and realized she does a low then high pitch to correspond with the fall then rise in the words. Another way this show is so clever!
14
HouseOfBonnets Apr 16, 2026 +6
Seconding, need them to get a second season!
6
SuperDizz Apr 16, 2026 +5
It’s my favorite show rn! Brilliant cast, and non stop laughs!
5
FiveDollarRimjobs Apr 16, 2026 +6
Dan Rad is hilarious. I really liked him in Miracle Workers
6
Cosmic_Gumbo Apr 17, 2026 +2
Miracle workers was so good

ro536ud Apr 16, 2026 +7
You can stream this on peacock for everyone who was frustrated the info wasn’t included here
7
mazhas Apr 16, 2026 +5
This and Stumble were my favorites this year. The Epstein joke in Dinkins was f****** hilarious.
5
darkeyes13 Apr 17, 2026 +6
One thing I love on this show is Monica and Brina's relationship. It's easy to have animosity between the ex-wife and the much younger, current fiance, but their dynamic is so good. Loved seeing all the SNL and 30 Rock-universe people involved pop up in guest/recurring roles too!
6
MCJokeExplainer Apr 17, 2026 +4
It's the funniest show on TV right now. It feels like a little miracle.
4
saintash Apr 17, 2026 +4
Every episode has specifically one joke that I go.Yeah, this whole episode is worth it for this one joke. " was she calling me a vampire?" Just pops into my head and I crack up
4
CoffeeJedi Apr 16, 2026 +5
Let's gets #supportRD trending!
5
djackieunchaned Apr 16, 2026 +3
Every episode had multiple big laughs for me. This show has done a pretty solid job of filling the 30 Rock sized whole thats been in my heart
3
RogerClyneIsAGod2 Apr 17, 2026 +3
This and Stumble are the 2 best shows out there that you should be watching.
3
Dangeresque2015 Apr 16, 2026 +4
Dinkins is really good. I had no idea Radcliffe had such solid comedy chops. The scene in the first episode (I think) when he throws his phone awkwardly on the ground was just great physical comedy.
4
ComputerDecent463 Apr 16, 2026 +11
Watch Miracle Workers. Steve Buscemi and Geraldine Viswanathan are both good in it too.
11
steeb2er Apr 16, 2026 +6
You're in for a treat. He's got a very weird catalog. Swiss Army Man alone demonstrates a ton of physical comedy ability.
6
CarrieDurst Apr 16, 2026 +3
Also great in Miracle Workers and the proshot of Merrily We Roll Along which he won a Tony for
3
steeb2er Apr 16, 2026 +2
Completely forgot about Miracle Workers. I think I lost sight of it with COVID delays, writers strike, etc.
2
Dangeresque2015 Apr 16, 2026 +1
I've been meaning to watch SAM. It helps that I think Paul Dano is also a great actor.
1
Lonely_Noyaaa Apr 16, 2026 +5
The show is from the writers of 30 Rock, so the joke-per-minute count is insane. Tracy Morgan plays a delusional former NFL star who hires Daniel Radcliffe to film a documentary about his comeback, except Reggie wants a puff piece and Arthur wants the real story.
5
TruckThunders00 Apr 17, 2026 +4
and if you like Reggie Dinkins be sure to check out FDNY Chicago
4
RaymondLuxuryYacht Apr 16, 2026 +2
What’s it on?
2
Chsrmsy Apr 17, 2026 +1
It’s streaming on peacock and maybe aired on NBC?? Not certain since I don’t have live tv
1
asdfer1235 Apr 17, 2026 +2
It’s so gooood. It’s basically Tracy Jordan being a football player.
2
souleman96 Apr 16, 2026 +4
If you were surprised that Radcliffe is funny you got some catching up to do. Dinkins is a good enough continuation of the 30 Rock style show. It pales in comparison to it's predecessors, but is still funnier than most other shows on these days.
4
math-yoo Apr 16, 2026 +2
I can’t help it, I wake up really early.
2
JJMcGee83 Apr 17, 2026 +2
I think I watched 5 or 6 episodes and I just wasn't digging it.
2
newleaf9110 Apr 16, 2026 +1
Not my cup of tea, but still better than any reality show or 90% of the other things on network television these days.
1
beard__hunter Apr 17, 2026 +1
Daniel Radcliffe, Precious Way, Erica and Bobby are just complete comedy package. Tracy Morgan is Tracy Morgan as usual but good way.
1
Sharksrmydrug Apr 17, 2026 +1
It's so so good and I'm not even usually a Tracy Morgan fan!
1
Thunderjamtaco Apr 17, 2026 +1
This damn show has me and my wife dying. Rusty is golden.

Why, in this show, can nobody pronounce Arthur's name correctly? It's not "Authur".
1
DLoIsHere Apr 16, 2026 +1
It’s no 30 Rock. Not even close. But it has its own nonsensical funny that makes it an amusing watch.
1
ishtar_the_move Apr 17, 2026 +1
Been hearing some good things about this show on this sub. I watched one clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7iXf8BBA0c and it does absolutely *nothing* for me.
1
joeyscheidrolltide Apr 17, 2026 +1
Huge 30 Rock fan so I was very much looking forward to this...and it left me wanting. It's not bad but tbh I didn't like it enough to keep watching outside of maybe just if I need something in the background and don't want to put something I've already seen on.
1
IamToddDebeikis Apr 17, 2026
I just can't get into it which majorly bums me out because I love 30 rock, Daniel Radcliffe, Tracy Morgan and Bobby Moynihan.

Caught the most recent episode and really liked it. I had tried with the pilot and some earlier eps and it didn't work for me buttgis last episode was hilarious.
