Was it evacuated before this happened? People in shelters? I don't see how a 6 story building could collapse without a much worse casualty unless it was evacuated...

Based on the video it looks like the corner of the building collapsed, damaging/destroying a handful of apartments on three floors.

The collapse happened due to a missile falling nearby. Before an incoming missile there’s an alarm and people go to safe rooms (if they have them in their apartments) or public shelters. So even if it wasn’t evacuated most people there were probably in safe places, where such a collapse wouldn’t harm them.

> and repeated shocks from missile shrapnel impacts in the area No lol The neighborhood is filled with old as hell buildings that are crumbling, far below modern building standards and not maintained by any of the building owners since rent demand is so high they can do whatever they please with them. Infrastructure problems are a very well known issue in neighborhoods of southern Tel Aviv

"The exact cause of the collapse has not been determined, although an initial assessment indicated it was not the direct result of a missile impact." I wonder if anyone reads the article

They will get a free hotel and the government will pay for the damages. It sucks but could be worse.

Love how directly below it there is a video that says a missile struck a nearby apartment complex as well. “Collapsed” is giving the same energy as “there is no war in Ba Sing Se.”

Nah Israel actually encourages their civilians to evacuate instead of locking them inside the buildings about to be destroyed so they can die as martyrs
