Coughlan seems like a no-brainer after the first episode. I wonder whether they would be brave enough in brand loyalty terms to run a sketch (or a monologue joke) slagging off their parent show for that joke they did that upset Aimee Lou Wood.

[Nicola Coughlan is a big fan of SNL based on her Instagram posts](https://x.com/i/status/2035678344524574923).

I'd have to presume it's a good bit to cover in her monologue.

I am actually shocked it took until episode 5 for her to appear after her clearly being well up for it in episode 1.

Maybe she had scheduling conflicts and couldn't stick around for the whole week, assuming it's like in the US, but could be there for an hour.

Is Aimee Lou Wood gonna mock the White Lotus Sketch on SNL US?

It's tough to do a parody of a parody. But when it works, it's Aimee Lou good.

I'm really enjoying UK version. It feels like SNL, but fresher. Don't know how to explain. I feel like I had more laughs with it than US version recently (In sketches, I enjoy The weekend update from both). I also like small tweek to presentation of directly going from live sketch ending into presenting a musical guest and from the final sketch into good nights. And the UK music stage set up seems to be better. Perfomances sound really nice.

Totally agree. Very impressed with it so far. The cast is amazing.

It's like every other comedy show in England. Middle class and dull.

They are kinda right a bit, most comedians on UK TV are usually from more well off families and well educated. Even the ones without RP are usually still had a good upbringing.
