Something Very Bad is Going to Happen (2026) is really good

I honestly thought it would have been either mid or just good but I really loved almost every moment put to screen. I wasn't familiar with the cast really outside of Zlatko Buric and Victoria Pedretti, but I am so happy that I loved the cast. The cinematography was also tremendous to me. If anyone has seen it, what are your thoughts?

I am currently  watching it. I realize I may have an unpopular opinion,  but I thought all of the setup was horrendous,  no one behaved like any normal person would, and   I found it very jarring and hard to get through.  The dark lighting did not do it any favors.

I switched to looking at Jo Nesbo's detective hole. Went through six out of eight already. Edit - I can't count, apparently There are nine.

Have you watched Brand New Cherry Flavour? It has the same “alt universe” vibe that show has. I love it but I can see how it’s polarising

I quit on episode 4. I couldn't watch any more, "Wife is alone with family member, orchestral score increases, family member is creepy, wife tells husband." scenes. Felt like rehashing the same scene over and over.

I dont feel like it should have been a movie but it should have been a 6 episode series instead of an 8 episode one

One episode left. Wife and I are loving it. It's super weird but also super fun.

I thought the first two episodes were fun. Unfortunately it slows down significantly after that, and it seemed that so much of the set-up from the first episode was completely abandoned as it went on. The first episode seemed completely disconnected from the rest, which is too bad because that seemed like an interesting spookypasta type story.

Watched with my girlfriend, and by watched I mean I fell asleep after episode 2 after nothing had really grabbed me in the show. Then she watched the other 5 filler episodes, and I enjoyed the last episode.

Just finished episode 2. It's likeable enough but if it was real life , episode 2 is as far as it would get. The characters and plot are unbelievable . The bride to be would be in Chicago and it would be a wrap. If you don't mind characters that WILL go into the proverbial basement/loft/outhouse/ not stop and question what'shappening, then enjoy 45 mins of disbelief suspension.

Adam DiMarco is doing a very similar character to his White Lotus one; like this surface level super nice but actually toxic and bit of a creep without trying or realising it.

This show was dumb and a waste of time. It started off good, but I thought the “big reveal” was stupid and lost interest from then on.

It’s a solid B- for me. Some great ideas, and bears particularly in the first half. It was a movie that had an opinion and I appreciate that. Some things didn’t work but at least the director went for it, at a time when so few movies try to do something new.

Their trailer annoyed me with the misleading "From the director of Baby Reindeer", making you think it was the same creator. It just happened to be one director who happened to do 1-2 episodes. That show was amazing because of the *creator/writer,* not a random director for hire.

Man, I love a good Giallo style title. Give me Your Vice Is A Locked Room and Only I Have The Key over single noun or adjective titles.

I M currently watching it and in first episode she was stroking his hair while driving and next second she doesn't. But she didn't remove her hand. Production error? Same for billiard balls moved when she entered the bar while nooone was playing. Also production error. Otherwise I feel so scared I can hardly watch it. But I enjoy it tho.
