Songs with many place names

Posted by ZookeepergameSure417

I’m trying to find songs that name a lot of different places (or at least a handful). This thought struck me after listening to “I’ve Been Everywhere“ by Jonny Cash. Which is almost entirely one place name after another. Can any of y’all help? So far I have: I’ve Been Everywhere - Johnny Cash Trucking’ - Grateful Dead Route 66 - Chuck Berry Open Road - Ra Costello Life is a Highway - Tom Cochrane Genre doesn’t matter. Thanks 😊 \-J

"I've Been Everywhere" was written by the Australian singer Geoff Mack, using entirely Australian places. It was subsequently adapted by songwriters in many different countries.

You ever notice Bradley sings "April *26th* 1992?" From what I've read they realized it was wrong but decided to keep it because they thought it was such a good take. It was probably 20 years or so before it even clicked for me that he doesn't say the right date.

I play through this song in my head when I'm doing a quiz or crossword that requires knowing large cities-- like, say, trying to remember all the major sports teams. I just ask myself, "Where is the Blues Explosion #1?" "Oh, right, they're #1 in Austin! Houston! Dallas! San Francisco! Los Angeles! Seattle!..."
