That's what's strange to me...p25 seems so short sighted, like they actually wanna collapse the economy to try n buy everything up, but if no one has any money tf you gon do? When those who make peaceful rebellion impossible, violent rebellion becomes likely. If ya wanted to take over the US, maybe ya shouldn't have armed everyone. There IS a breaking point, and everyone owning nothing is probably past that.

Helps the wrong Americans. There are only 700 or so families they want to help.

He doesn’t want to get rid of us. He want us to get sick and die sooner. Solves a lot of problems for the wealthy in this country if we do

A study showed that NIH funding contributed to published research **associated with every one** of the 210 new drugs approved by the Food and Drug Administration from 2010–2016. Contrary to popular belief, new treatments, especially for cancer, do not start with Big Pharma. It's results from Stage I trials funded by the NIH and other sources that get Big Pharma interested in pursuing Stage II/III trials that result in drug approvals. Additional cuts will result in (1) fewer trials and (2) more U.S. scientists moving overseas to pursue their research. This means in the long run your new treatments will come from China or Europe, not the U.S. It's already happening BTW, China has plenty of new cancer drugs in the pipeline; the U.S.... not so much.

"It's not a GUN problem! It's a MENTAL HEALTH problem!" "We're cutting mental health funding."

The new science principle promoted by the administration is "I have a feeling that I am right." You don't need NIH for that. Or more precisely, you need NOT to have NIH for it to run smoothly.

>The NIH received $48.7 billion in fiscal 2026, a $415 million increase over the previously enacted level. The Trump administration last year proposed $29.3 billion for fiscal 2026. Clearly needs to be cut. I mean, $48 billion could pay for a month and a half of bombing Iran! Priorities, America!

because if they cut health care and more people die younger, then suddenly they don't have to pay out so much in social security.

Tobacco companies used this **exact** argument while lobbying Eastern European governments against regulating tobacco. Seriously.

Gutting RFK's agency is the next logical step. Decimating is to eliminate 10%. Trump is double decimating NIH. Obliteration comes after that.

They proposed massive cuts for 2026 and Congress ignored them. If pubs get stomped in midterms they aren't going to listen to him next year.
