Wages are too low, rent is too high, pedo's are not going to prison, and the economy may collapse because of this unneeded war on behalf of Israel. With all that, the GOP finds a way to pass the important legislation. Kinda funny though, the whole point of these bathroom bills is because they are afraid of Cis-men pretending to be trans-women to abuse girls in the bathroom. They basically admit that cis-men are the problem but they never pass any laws to punish those cis-men

I forgot the name of the comedian, but I saw one poking fun at the idea: republicans thinks the world is full of pedophiles and rapists who want to attack women in bathrooms, but they won’t, because they aren’t allowed in there.

Show of hands, folks. How many of you have been attacked by a dude dressed like a girl in the girls’ bathroom? Okay, now who here has been attacked by a dude, dressed like a dude, that either you or your parents mistakenly trusted?

But y tho. They’re kids and no one really cares who’s using what. They’re in stalls. If you really want to make bathrooms better/safer have stalls that respect people’s privacy.

>Schools would be required to provide alternative options, such as single-occupancy restrooms, for students who cannot or do not wish to comply. The bill would also make permanent a policy already in place through the state budget and include enforcement mechanisms that could penalize school districts that fail to comply, such as reductions in state funding. Single-Occupancy bathrooms are and should be required in all future school construction and all remodels. Sounds like this bill directs that. Not that I am for the main objective of the bill, it's abborrant, but this seems like a small saving grace.

Every time this comes up I think of this. Many places I've been in Europe as well as the W in San Francisco just have the door going from ceiling to floor. Hotel I stayed at in Amsterdam even had the sink in there. Problem solved, plus you get a little privacy.

I wonder if lunch counters were still a thing if that would have helped spread the fixation.

Sometimes I wonder if like 80% or so of transphobes are pedophiles and this is a socially acceptable out for them to think about the genitalia of children constantly.
