I would argue their Jeju Oranges are better than Florida ones too.

The US could have held Trump accountable, but we still have insurrectionists and sympathizers in places of power, and weak leaders looking out for their own futures.

I think I saw news that the judge who sentenced the former First Lady died of weird circumstances. The grass are not that green over there.

Justice Scalia’s death at Cibolo Creek Ranch was pretty weird

Literally every single Korean president besides Moon has left office before their term ended and has been imprisoned for corruption or something. Moon also handled Covid extremely well and was behind a new law to prohibit unpaid overtime, a huge issue in South Korea. And yet if you go and ask a Korean if Moon was a good president, they'll pretty much all tell you he was awful. He was so disliked that when his term was up (1 term only for Korean presidents) the country elected a billionaire businessman with no political experience who wanted to run the country like a business and get rid of the overtime regulation, and who did so as part of the People Power Party, which was essentially a renaming of the Liberty Korea Party, which was dissolved in response to President Park's political controversy (kicked off by the sinking of the Sewol Ferry,) impeachment, and imprisonment. So while they do prosecute their presidents for criminal acts, they literally keep electing obviously corrupt people to the highest office and hate the only one who wasn't corrupt.

>every single Korean president besides Moon has left office before their term ended and has been imprisoned what? >the country elected a billionaire businessman with no political experience yoon is now a billionaire businessman now? where did you get that idea?

My mistake, he wasn't a billionaire businessman. I'm exaggerating a bit on presidents being impeached/jailed, but every president dating back to 2003, besides Moon, was charged with a crime and imprisoned besides one guy who killed himself after being charged. They were all impeached (but not all removed) besides Moon.

Kim Dae Joong was imprisoned decades prior to his presidency by Chun's regime, not after. Not really an apple to apple with the succeeding presidents.

Which is why I said "dating back to 2003" which doesn't include Kim.

2003 was Kim's final year of presidency

You're literally wrong. Kim Dae Jung and Roh Moo Hyun, both Left leaning presidents ended their 5 year term. Yoon was not a billionaire just a stooge for US and the Deep State. People Power Party is basically a CIA cutout.

Not anymore. National Assembly passed a law prohibiting future pardoning of Yoon.

Park was pardoned not too long after her impeachment and imprisonment. So we will have to see.

It'd be nice if we could, you know, have some of that accountability here in the land of the "free"...
