I don't even understand why is it allowed to just post these random news and not give even short summary of the key points. This is basically just spamming. Are these some automated news bots or something?

Yeah and with that teaser, I'm not diggin' it. And I loved the first two (mostly first) seasons. Don't get me wrong, I'll still probably watch (some) of it, but Kurtzman's interpretation of Star Trek has completely lost its original fans. And that's not a 'woke' issue - it's that TNG and DS9 actually had depth to it.

Since season 3 was so bad, I hope the next one is better. I loved the first two, but man, three was just awful.

It can’t get worse than season 3, right? Right? In all seriousness I think season 3 as a whole was more inconsistent than bad, the problem was that when it was bad, it was *bad*. The finale was absolute dog shit, on par with Code of Honour.

The Vulcan episode had such silly promise and was then boring and not funny.

I couldn’t finish it. First Star Trek series I didn’t watch as it released.

Impressive mate. I couldn’t finish Enterprise even with all the Vulcan decontamination scenes.

I question my decision on most of the newer series to this day.

I just finished season 1 and I have to say it didn't live up to the hype. Not a single interesting science fiction idea, just a lot of expensive-looking action with shallow CW-style love triangles between incredibly emotionally immature characters who talk in dated millennial-speak ("Uhura for the win!" - Uhura), Marvel quips ("Uh, really?" is said about 500 times) and teenaged sarcasm that is terribly sad to watch grown adults engage in . There's a sickness in TV writing, making characters low-EQ traumatised wo/manchildren who struggle with basic life skills, let alone complex crises. Nurse Chapel gets an entire episode about she can't tell her fwb she just wants to f*** and not have a relationship. Christ, can you imagine if that was the B-plot to the episode with Data's trial?

Sad you’re getting done voted for this because it’s quite a good review. I actually really like the first two seasons, but your review is spot-on. All the characters are low EQ wo/manchildren, and that’s really the premise of every episode. If they just behave like adults there would be no show. And it’s really sad because they’re supposed to be senior professionals and yet they’re all emotionally stunted with zero ability to communicate. I genuinely wonder who writes the stuff.
