Such a wrong turn to take. When the electorate has comprehensively turned against you is not the time to get up and do a Tony Montana last stand. People needed to hear constructive policies that would help ease the cost of living.

We have become too accustomed to PMs changing mid-term.
Unless a PM does something egregious, they should not be ousted. The whole party was elected on his ticket and if there's a problem, they need to solve it, collectively, as a party. Not scrabble about trying to cling to power for the sake of power.
