Not sure how many people are still watching The Good Fight on Paramount+, but I’ve been slowly getting into it between work sprints. Took a few episodes to click for me. The opener felt a bit slow but once the stakes ramped up (especially when things start hitting closer to home for the firm), it got a lot more engaging.
I went in with pretty low expectations since I mostly associated the cast with lighter roles or other genres, but the performances here are actually solid. The tone shifts into something sharper and more political than I expected, which makes it easier to stick with.
I'm thinking about rotating subscriptions like that of Subdelete so I can pause or cancel until another show drops.
i was a fan of The Good Wife so i jumped on the good fight the moment it aired. it's really good. i haven't watched it since it ended but thinking about doing a big rewatch soon.

It’s so good, DelRoy Lindo steals every scene

I really liked it early on, but the animated life lesson shorts it introduced were so painful and just was part of it losing it's luster for me.

They went full hard on for those after a while. It was fun here and there but it became constant

Been meaning to check this one out since I keep seeing it pop up but never pulled the trigger 😂 might be perfect for those late night CS sessions when I need something running in the background

It's a gem. Definitely not for everybody, its very clever and particular
I watched it way back when it got out. I still have to finish the last season but it was always special to me

Really good up until season 3, and then it goes down hill. Much like the good wife was really good, until it wasnt as well. Covid did f*** it over a bit, and that cant be helped. But it never really recovered. And Delroy leaving has the nail on the head for me. His endless charm and charisma was doing so much heavy lifting. And his absence is really noticeable.

I really like Rose Leslie, but she needs to talk in her natural Scottish accent (one of my favorite accents, but that’s not the only reason I say that lol).
Cush Jumbo for example actually does one of the best American accents I’ve heard from a TV actor. I wish she would do something other than UK crime shows, even though she’s great on them.
The show gets a lot better once Rose leaves, but also gets ridiculously political. There are some insane Diane rants the last few seasons.

How political does it get? Which 50% of the viewership will it piss off?

It's full to the brim with anti-Trump messaging. I hate Trump as much as the next Trump-hater, however, that was too much for me, so I didn't continue watching.
