Yep absolutely. I actually laughed at a couple jokes. If their throwing them fast Airplane style, this has a chance.

If they don't deliberately call out being a spiritual successor to Airplane!, I'll be legitimately shocked. And I don't mean that in any pejorative way; too much time has gone by with too few comedies that successfully follow in Airplane!'s footsteps. New Naked Gun was great, why not a spiritual successor to Airplane! I'll be seated.

Could be that they threw all the good jokes in the trailer and the rest is garbage. Can’t really tell until the reviews come out. People were saying this about the new Naked Gun but that movie kept the rapid fire gags coming throughout the whole movie

Thats because, like airplane, this is a parody of a genre rather than a hundred lazy references with a couple edge lord jokes mixed in to market it as "crossing every line".
