F*** that. I'm making a board game
*Blockade:*
Each player is given 2 large ships and 3 small coloured ships. On the board are neutral coloured ships that move forward after everyone has played their turn. Now, on every turn, you can put one of your ships onto one of the limited s**** (big ships are worth 2 s****) or draw a card.
If one of the neutral ships touches your deployed ship, you get a number of points depending on the size of your deployed ship, called a "toll value". Once a toll is paid, that neutral ship will "pass freely"" and is removed from the board, if a neutral ship passes through without touching a player's ship, it is removed and no one gets the "toll" points.
Cards contain an action that can be saved or are forced to be used immediately and can have beneficial or adverse effects.
Example 1: Lego propaganda - Once played, all players other than the player who drew the card are forced to deploy 1 small ship on their next turn if there is space. If there is no space, they are forced to skip a turn.
Example 2: appeasement - target one player and force them to remove a ship as well as skipping a turn.
Example 3: AMAZING DEAL - Must be played immediately, withdraw all of your deployed ships.
Example 4: Epstein files - Can be played immediately or held. Once played, you must hit one of the other players at random and are able to deploy two ships if there is space.

In short, it is closed until the IRGC decides it is open.
The public announcements are coming from Araghchi and the civilian government which has no control over the IRGC. Instead, the Corps answers personally to the Supreme Leader.

Ceasfire was confirmed by Pakistan to include Lebanon.
Israel kept attacking Lebanon.
Iran imposed post-ceasfire blockade using that as excuse.
US imposed their blaockade.
Iran didn't budge.
The US forced Israel to make ceasfire deal with Lebanese government: technically meeting Iran demands, while bypassing Hezbollah.
Iran accepted that aproach (actual US W) and agreed to remove blockade.
The US announced that they will keep their own blockade.
Iran renewed blockade.

There is a chance it has started and I don't say that with hyperbole. Anyone in the cyber industry knows we've technically been in a digital WW3 for years and it has steadily escalated. But I suspect this is truly the start evolving.
The common rhetoric of nations fighting and bombs dropping will be a small part of the war. People fighting eachother, society collapsing, fractions forming - that is the real nuclear weapon for Russia, China etc.
For decades they have reinforced the power they have. Prepared for this timeline. All while the west has indulge in contrasting arguments, decline of social cohesion, continuing to weave the social fabric that is needed when we starts in full effect.
Look at the resilience and grit shown by allied nations during the darkest times of WW1 and 2..... absolutely no f****** chance that happens now. Between people hating the opposition, hating the state and having massive distrust for governments, all it would take is the power to go off, kill the internet and start spreading misinformation about what is going on and you'll have countries killing themselves.
I fear we spent too long focusing on big bombs and flying objects, while the opposition was setting up a far more strategic play.

How about this: 2 Indian ships were transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranians launched gun boats and put effective fire on the Indian ships. So again I will say that if the US has blockaded all of Irans coast how did these boats get launched and why were they permitted to attack these ships.
I don’t need an argument to point out that the US Navy did nothing to interdict ships coming from a blockaded port. Is the Iranian coast blockaded or not? Trump claims to have destroyed the Iranian Navy and yet they’re still sailing and putting effective fire on target. Ass
8
Xytak18 hr ago
+10
The U.S. navy isn’t blockading the coast. That would expose ships to drones, missiles, and mines. They’re conducting a distant blockade, stopping ships that have already left the strait.
10
zenarr18 hr ago
+10
The Iranian coast is not blockaded, and America will not try to do so because it would put their warships at too close a range to reliably defend against missile and drone attacks.
They’re blockading the *exit* of Hormuz, off the coast of Oman/Pakistan.
10

These are basically speed boats, hardly what you could call part of a navy. Also they likely are IRGC boats so not even in the Iranian Navy.

Costing the US and the world economy billions for Trump to say it’s open/closed/open or whatever, it costs Iran hardly anything to use a few drones or remote launched missiles to say it’s closed, I wonder if trump is the problem here?
At least when he invades Cuba the navy won’t have far to go and the likelihood of being shot at is quite low.
