honestly never heard of mubi until this whole controversy but now i'm kinda curious what they actually offer.

They've been simmering away for a long time, used to have a 30 day thing going where a new movie would be available for 30 days and the oldest one would rotate off. Was an interesting concept at the time, they could showcase some rare items alongside some more common/accessible ones and you'd rush to watch stuff about to rotate out. Now I think the whole library's streamable which is much more convenient. They definitely get a lot of interesting international and indie stuff you might not otherwise find.
