What started out as a good idea/concept has been abused and taken advantage of to hell and back, regardless of whether it’s police’s qualified immunity, public and prosecutorial immunity, this ruins and destroys people’s trust and faith in their institutions, whether it be on a county, state, or federal level. Abolish it, reform it, something, this can’t go on forever.

It was never a good idea. They just used a bunch of bs reasons for how it was supposed to "prevent lockdown due to lawsuits"... But all the articles at the time were talking about how it would be abused Less oversight is NEVER good

And its a completely made up idea by the courts, there is no law that grants qualified immunity some court decided that there should sp they basically made up their own case law.

Yep, it's supposed to protect firemen from being sued for breaking down your door to put out a fire, first responders from being sued for breaking your ribs doing CPR, and police from legitimate life and death split second decisions. Or governments from hurting one industry for the greater good like banning CFCs. Instead it's being used as protection for obviously illegal shit.
