I live in Cleveland and around 9am this morning I heard a massive boom that shook my house that lasted a couple seconds. I literally thought a tree hit my house or something exploded right outside but I didn’t see anything. Went online and found out shortly after it was a meteor and people in a 50 mile wide area heard it. Latest reports I heard say it was 17,000 pounds…

That’s how the space shuttle sounded when it exploded. Woke me up out of a dead sleep.

We could ask NASA, if anyone still works there… All meteors now “suspected” meteors, I guess!

Actually, NASA tracked this one. It’s NOAA that’s having trouble tracking tornadoes.

Thank you for the link We probably have pebble sized meteor debris all over this planet of ours.

They have to write "alleged meteor" until the meteor is formally convicted.

Could be a meteorite. You don't know until it either reaches the ground or burns up in the atmosphere.

So super secret that they have an entire above ground campus with "NASA" visibly painted on the building closest to and easily noticeable from the airport terminal that they give public tours of?

Maybe space is angry that Ohio keeps sending Ohioans there

I live just outside of Cleveland, and *felt* it. Heard the boom first, then our house shook for a good five seconds after. I honestly thought a tree had fallen on our roof, and then was like, rolling off the side or something? Truly bizarre. Husband ran outside to check and then was very confused when he didn't see anything. Then suddenly everyone on social media from other nearby cities were also posting about the "boom" and we were like oh, shit, lol.

Crazy thing to live through. Region wide explosion that shook buildings across a 50 mile swathe. Checked the roof of my warehouse cause it sounded like something got ripped off.

Or the end of Cloverfield. Or the early stages of War Machine. It was one of those.

Good thing NASA said it was a meteor right away. I would have hated to hear Hegseth or Trump telling us Iran had gotten another tomahawk missile and we had shot it down.
