I like how the article says the decision had nothing to do with her politics but then they spend half an article hypothesizing how it could have been about politics.

The Irish Star is listed as a tabloid site.

It’s a tabloid. It’s got nothing to to with politics, they’re just hoping you click the link

Not at all correct, in the U.S., the fairness doctrine was repealed in 1978 by Reagan, which repealed laws requiring news to make a good faith effort to be unbiased. It was around since 1949
3
the_real_mac-t 3 days ago +3
That's not what the fairness doctrine was about. And even if it was, it only applied to broadcast media, not newspapers and magazines (and wouldn't have been applicable to the internet either). Please do your research when you post things like that. Serious media organizations are still bound by ethics rules and guidelines. Reuters. AP. Times. The Guardian. NYT. WSJ. Bloomberg. BBC. When such organizations report, they have to base it on facts. And yes, those organizations also publish opinions. Those are clearly marked as opinions. Is there bias on the reporting? Sure. It's done by people, after all. But when you see the same reports coming from both a left-wing paper (let's say Guardian) and a right-wing one (The Times), you get a better idea of where the middle ground might be.

Other than being a registered Republican, has she ever said a single thing about MAGA or Trump? Or is this just based on a tv commercial for jeans?

It 100% had nothing to do with her politics…she just starred in a film that was #1 at the box office

It never makes sense why she's cast there, especially the role is as herself.

FuelForYourFire 3 days ago +233
>She was, however, expected to portray herself as a celebrity client working alongside Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), another one of Miranda's former assistants. This comes as fans have labeled Sydney's hit show a 'disaster.' Doesn't mean it makes sense, but there's this.
233
iceburg47 3 days ago +163
I misread assistant as assassin and was suddenly way more interested in the movie for just a moment. But seriously, can we get a comedy where Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway are assassins for the fashion industry? "Who do you think you are? The fashion police?" "Not exactly..." Pew pew

I chuckled watching this movie because there were, I think 3 sex scenes in there, and then it became clear why this movie was made. I can just imagine the negotiations going on behind the scenes "Let's get Sweeney in on this... I want 3 sex scenes, how much to get her fully n***? Can we get full frontal? We need at least 5 seconds of exposed nips..."

She's attractive, openly sexual, natural blonde blue eyed, has big b****, getting naked seems to be in her contract. it's really not that complicated

She’s a bad actress. Only famous because of the way she looks. If I were her I wouldn’t rock the boat by courting controversial political positions since she’s not exactly getting by on her acting abilities.

She's not even a reputable actress. She shows off those titties and all the boys be drooling. Let's see her display some actual f****** acting chops. Do you really think this woman has what it takes to stand toe to toe with someone like Garbo? Bette Davis? Gloria Grahame? Come on. She's barely in the same league as Pamela Anderson. In fact I could see Sweeney doing a prequel to Barb Wire in the near future. You know when her career starts to tank. I wish folks would stop giving these "actors" so much attention.
