Absolutely tragic attack. I spent a few years in Macedonia in my 20s. It does not have a large Jewish population (I think there’s like one synagogue outside of Skopje in the entire country) and, like elsewhere in Eastern Europe, there is a thriving culture of far right nationalism. It’s an area that had the potential for a terrorist attack.

Most of the country is over run with immigrants, not people seeking asylum (like the many sex offenders). In fact, the reason theyve become more hostile and terroristic is because of bad faith actors whove immigrated and came into power like Bibi.
