Tarantino's top 3 characters

Posted by Iamnotthebreakman

There's a lot of great characters in his films and it's hard to pick just one so I figured I'd give a bit of more wiggle room with my question. In your opinion what are the top three characters in his cinematic universe? I feel that my three are Landa, Dr.Schultz and Aldo Raine. As I'm typing this I feel like I'm leaving such a vast amount of equally great and rememberable characters. One character I really feel is left out of the discussion is Max Cherry. Robert Forster is a highly highly underrated actor in my opinion.

You know ball. Hicox is so good. That bar scene is a classic, I go back to it so often. Fassbender does such phenomenal acting with his facial expressions and body language, my god. Also love Budd, so well-written.

How has no one said Mr Pink? Add to that Mr Orange, Mr White, and Mr Blonde.

I think this is the answer. Cliff Booth is debatable, but Hans and Dr. Schultz are not. I might switch out Cliff for Jules, but Cliff is great so yea, I agree with your three. Switching out Cliff for Lt. Aldo Raine would also make sense.

I really like Butch from Pulp Fiction, Schultz from Django Unchained, and Warren from Hateful Eight.

To be fair, Jackie Brown is based on an Elmore Leonard novel so she's not entirely Tarantino's character

It's hard to argue Waltz didn't play 2 of them, which is wild. What a treasure that dude is particularly coupled with Tarantinos stories. Legitimately a perfect match between actor and director.
