Seriously. I had a roommate get excommunicated for moving out of her mom’s place and into mine. (Her mom was very big in the church.) if an 18 year old gets it for that, TFP should’ve been axed years ago.

TFP's recently revealed abusive actions may have been enough to trigger review for a church membership council (physical and child abuse both fall under the list of activities that are considered serious acts). However, she has also likely been physically distant from the church for some time already and I wouldn't be surprised if this was a preemptive act on her part. Either way, this is not a good moment in her life nor the lives of many around her. I hope she seeks mental rehabilitation for what are clearly some significant issues and doesn't just hide behind therapy words as feigned progress. I hope those around her act in a Christlike manner, irrespective of her affiliation with the church.
