Tell Me Lies Is Just Soft Core P*** With Drama

My cousin started watching it recently and I overheard it one day and legitimately thought she was watching p*** until she told me what it was. Watched a few episodes with her and Jesus. I'm not conservative or prude or anything but damn it's basically just soft p*** with drama sprinkled in. Like there's so much sex in it that it got annoying because the scenes often didn't add anything to the story. It just came across as showing sex just for the sake of it. It got weird real quick. I don't see how anyone could think this show is good. Some people have said "oh well that's college" and that's just a poor excuse. It gets really awkward too if you're watching it with a group of people because it's "we're all just sitting here and this girl is saying she's about to cum." My bad if this has been discussed here before.

Try the borgias as well then. There's a European version (same name sigh) that I consider superior. It's more historical. The showtime version is.. meh.. it's made by the vikings guy, a lot of style but no historical flavor imo

Theres not that many sex scenes. People tend to over-exaggerate. If you love drama between the worst type of people you hope never to interact with, then this is your show. They're all so horrible but I cant stop watching. I imagine this is how people who watch reality tv feel

Sex in shows is as awkward as you make it. I have no issue with it at all. If you don't like it, just don't watch it. But don't make it sound like the show is bad just because you don't like seeing sex on screen.

I will never understand the mindset. I can understand it being awkward if you’re watching with a family member and your family doesn’t have that dynamic, that makes sense to me. But I’m continually shocked at how prudish so many people are about watching shows by themselves with sex scenes. It’s just… not weird? At all?

Watching sex scenes with my 70 year old mom is the most amazing thing in the world. I really want to live stream it some day. She has comments about everything: that does NOT look comfortable, nice ass, no one bends like that, no one ever does it like that, why is there a sheet? In the shower? That's a great way to break a hip! haha

I'm almost done with episode 2 this barely qualifies as softcore p*** it's a decent college drama. Gives me the feels for back in the day.

Your comment made me watch this series. I had seen it advertised on Hulu and was getting around to watching it sometime but this thread enticed me to watch. I like Episode 1 so far but it's hardly considered softcore at this point, just typical teen drama

It's a show about sex, you can't say the scenes add nothing when they are kind of the point. This is just you being too prudish for a show.
