This movie is so f****** good. The action sequences rival Indiana Jones in my opinion. I’m so annoyed that Spielberg and Jackson are sticking to their rule of swapping so that the sequel hasn’t been made yet.

michaelreadit Mar 29, 2026 +49
Sorry I’m out of the loop. What is Spielberg and Jackson’s rule of swapping?
49
The_Meemeli Mar 29, 2026 +64
Spielberg directed Tintin 1 and they agreed that Jackson would direct 2
64
Similar_Two_542 Mar 30, 2026 +39
Jackson is lazy! Spielberg has made 200 movies since tintin. PJ made like 3.
39
ceaguila84 Mar 30, 2026 +28
The real reason he hasn't made more films since The Hobbit is because his DP and long time partner Andrew Lesnie died in 2015. He mentioned this in the recent anniversary LOTR re-releases He'll be back soon
28
Similar_Two_542 Mar 30, 2026 +14
Well I feel bad for calling him lazy now. I was only kidding anyway. I know he has invested in passion projects like They Shall Not Grow Old and the Beatles documentary.
14
Finito-1994 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Naw. Stand on what you said. You called him a lazy piece of shit and that he was a lazy bum who should never work again. It’s a weird take but I respect it.
1
Similar_Two_542 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Lol I also said Spielberg made 200 movies which is obviously hyperbole. I'm just airing the shared frustration we have with the lack of more tintin
1
pmmemoviestills Mar 30, 2026 +1
He also didn't seem to thrilled with how he had to go about The Hobbit trilogy. He went to very passionate projects and documentaries. Hollywood kicked his ass like this j****** place it is.
1
The_Meemeli Mar 30, 2026 +30
What making 3 epic fantasy movies with not enough prep does to a man
30
Similar_Two_542 Mar 30, 2026 +14
That Hobbit trilogy was made on autopilot by robots
14
michaelreadit Mar 30, 2026 +1
Thanks!

TheUmbrellaMan1 Mar 30, 2026 +7
Spielberg was asked about Tintin 2 at The Fablesman premier and he straight-up said that the sequel was Peter Jackson's responsibility, not his. I don't know why they insist on swapping directorial duties. Jackson was asked about the sequel only last year and he said he was still "years away from directing another movie." Dude hasn't directed a feature film since The Battle of Five Armies in 2014. I don't think Tintin 2 is ever going to happen, sadly.
7
Alukrad Mar 30, 2026 +7
I kept thinking the Uncharted games. Made me wonder who did some of those scenes first..
7
dtwhitecp Mar 30, 2026 +3
I just wish it didn't have that "trying to make 3D movies exciting by having a bunch of random shit swing right in front of your face" feel
3
MumrikDK Mar 30, 2026 +1
The sequel felt stone dead when we heard nothing within the first two years or so.
1
CardAble6193 Mar 30, 2026 -2
to be fair u watched this scene and said rival Indiana Jones its just looking down on animation
-2
SanderSo47 Mar 29, 2026 +616
It's crazy that it's been 15 years since this released, and there's still no sign that the sequel is ever happening. Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson have said multiple times it's coming, but it doesn't look like it.
616
MobiusDie Mar 29, 2026 +99
I didn't know that. Animated films take more time than a traditional film, so it wouldn't have been surprising if there was a 5 year gap. So yeah, it's in development hell or axed. Which sucks because this and the animated cartoon are fun adventures.
99
Typical-Blackberry-3 Mar 29, 2026 +35
It's strange that it is so solid on IMDB though. Peter Jackson has had it under his name for a decade, lol.
35
Iyellkhan Mar 30, 2026 +21
it may also have had something to do with Jackson's depression. hes talked about how it drastically affected his interest in doing narrative work
21
CardAble6193 Mar 30, 2026 +4
1 aspect is that S.S is kind of sated on simulated action film on Ready Player One
4
TheIllogicalSandwich Mar 29, 2026 +38
I bombed in America, that's why. Tintin is a staple in Europe, but Americans are barely familiar with it.
38
Jokerzrival Mar 29, 2026 +18
Am American. Grew up reading TinTin. Will do nasty things for a sequel
18
East-Ice-3199 Mar 30, 2026 +9
How nasty are we talking here?
9
Jokerzrival Mar 30, 2026 +7
Which story are you basing the sequel on? Its nasty no matter what but whether or not I shower beforehand will depend on the sequel choice
7
WhiteLama Mar 30, 2026 +1
The rather racist one taking place in Africa!
1
Pet_Velvet Mar 30, 2026 +1
Going nasty for Tintin is something I never thought I'd have to imagine
1
TaurineDippy Mar 29, 2026 +22
I’m not sure what your bombing in America has to do with tintin but go off /s
22
EngineeringDevil Mar 29, 2026 -3
the 2 major markets for profit are the USA and China But the only thing that normally matters is if the Budget vs Box Office ratio is something like 1: (2.5 to 3) where Tintin gets easily by at a ratio of 2.77. The current reasoning is that both Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg's schedules are to tight to fit in the amount of time needed for a sequel. At this rate, its going to be "by these eldritch alignment" sort of situation
-3
Fools_Requiem Mar 30, 2026 -4
When you make a movie for international audiences, you typically want to succeed in the biggest markets, so America is very important and if your movie performs poorly in the largest market, the film is likely to be a failure. The first film was barely a success when taking into account worldwide totals. A sequel is likely too much of a risk unless you can drastically reduce the budget

This how i feel with Alita Battle Angel

theunnameduser86 Mar 29, 2026 +18
There are dozens of us!
18
oswaldcopperpot Mar 30, 2026 +4
That was an awesome movie. It had everyone great in it.
4
Alukrad Mar 30, 2026 +1
I thought the sequel was already in development?
1
optionalhero Mar 30, 2026 +2
Bruh its been 7yrs
2
evilsbane50 Mar 30, 2026 +1
7...years? Movie was fine but...wtf. It does not feel like 7 f****** years since I saw that film.
1
Alukrad Mar 30, 2026 +1
I think it was around when avatar 3 came out, James Cameron said they were finally working on a sequel and a possible 3 part too. So, I think they recently just started working on it.
1
TheOncomingBrows Mar 29, 2026 +14
The people involved in this always surprises me. Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson, Edgar Wright, Stephen Moffat once of Dr Who fame, not too surprising they're having trouble getting all those people together again to work on it.
14
mbmba Mar 29, 2026 +28
This movie was so well made. Would love to see more Tintin movies!
28
The_Meemeli Mar 29, 2026 +6
Jackson was supposed to direct it, but it seems The Hobbit trilogy burnt him out of directing non-documentary films
6
cuatrodemayo Mar 30, 2026 +1
Peter Jackson has always been the hold up. He was supposed to direct the second one, and this keeps moving to the back of the line.
1
ontheweed Mar 30, 2026 +1
This was supposed to be a trilogy
1
Great-Hatsby Mar 29, 2026 +1
Damn 15 years. I fondly remember watching this in theaters. It’s so good, I really wish we got a sequel.
1
Repulsive-Regret-243 Mar 29, 2026 -11
This shit sucked tho. Hard core sleeping pill.
-11
ProfessorHuman Mar 29, 2026 +99
As someone who grew up reading the comics, this movie was so well done. They nailed every character. Especially Haddock. Sucks they never released another.
99
Bl33to Mar 29, 2026 +17
The cartoon movies where pretty good aswell.
17
TripleThreatTua Mar 30, 2026 +1
Andy Serkis as Haddock was pitch-perfect casting, dude could’ve easily pulled off the character in live action as well
1
Valerian_ Mar 30, 2026 +3
I grew up reading the comics too but have not seen that movie yet, it feels so weird to hear them speak English instead of French.
3
GarlicThread Mar 30, 2026 +3
They managed to craft a brand new story out of existing material and it worked so goddamn well. I need to watch that movie again.
3
ho_ceh Mar 29, 2026 +163
I remember watching this movie with my kids and being blown away by this scene. Reminded me of the uncharted games. Still revisit this scene every so often cause it's still amazing.
163
thomas-anderson-the1 Mar 29, 2026 +30
HEAVY uncharted vibe
30
WhiteWolf047 Mar 30, 2026 +1
That scene on the bike running away from the tank whilst the camera’s view from the front is 1:1 with Uncharted 4
1
lilacmoonnotes Mar 29, 2026 +92
this scene had me STRESSED the first time I watched it. I went in thinking it was just a chill animated movie and suddenly I’m locked in like it’s a full action thriller, lowkey made me realize I get way too emotionally invested in movies lol
92
Silverton13 Mar 30, 2026 +1
PUT THE F****** SCROLL IN YOUR POCKET TIN TIN, WHY ARE YOU CARRYING IT IN YOUR HAND IN A HIGH SPEED CHASE FUCKKKKKKK
1
johnconnor008 Mar 29, 2026 +29
Only the desert scene with the pirate ship battle was better. Especially the transition from sand to water is chef kiss!
29
angusthermopylae Mar 29, 2026 +113
This was the real Indiana Jones sequel. Forget 4 & 5.
113
nowhereman136 Mar 29, 2026 +79
The Academy saw this and thought "nah, lets nominate Puss in Boots instead"
79
ThatPlayWasAwful Mar 30, 2026 +20
If it's the reason we got The Last Wish, it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.
20
Omega00024 Mar 30, 2026 +5
If it's any consolation, that was before the academy had the rule where voters had to watch the films they nominated. That's just about the only explanation I can think. (It's also worth noting for the record that it was the first Puss in Boots movie, not The Last Wish.)
5
corranhorn57 Mar 29, 2026 +18
You know, if I had known this was basically a Young Indiana Jones story, I would have watched it ages ago.
18
Abba_Fiskbullar Mar 30, 2026 +11
Young Indiana Jones is a Tintin homage. Indy's Belgian friend in WWI is named Georges Remi.
11
MobiusF117 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Tintin is A LOT older than Indiana Jones.
1
someroflwaffle2 Mar 29, 2026 +33
Its the uncharted we deserved.
33
staarfawkes Mar 29, 2026 +14
I’d love a 4K remaster of this one
14
Mojave_RK Mar 30, 2026 +3
I’ll randomly think about this movie once in a while and want to get a blu ray but I just know the moment I do they’ll announce a 4K transfer.
3
staarfawkes Mar 30, 2026 +1
I got the blu ray a few months ago it’s well worth it
1
mynameisollie Mar 30, 2026 +1
The digital intermediate was 2k for this film so the only options they’d have would be upscale or re-render everything.
1
C_Pala Mar 29, 2026 +27
this was such an enjoyable movie. Thanks for reminding me about it
27
Homunculus97 Mar 29, 2026 +16
I remember my dad getting his hands on a very high quality cam version of this movie, we started to watched it and half way through we stopped because we wanted to see it legit in the cinemas. Holy f*** was it worth it.
16
OokitySpookity Mar 29, 2026 +16
My low attention span ass watched this whole video right now. Such a fun movie, we need a return of this aesthetic for animated films.
16
Joslyn_Shaver Mar 30, 2026 +7
This movie is criminally underrated. Spielberg directed an animated film with more thrilling action sequences than most live-action blockbusters. The fact that we never got a sequel is one of cinema's biggest missed opportunities.
7
Iyellkhan Mar 29, 2026 +8
saw this in an empty theater with a few friends. a shame it didnt do better, this sequence alone is a masterpiece of camera movement and visual storytelling.
8
BeebleBoxn Mar 30, 2026 +1
I enjoyed this movie but now that I look at Tin-Tin if they ever did bring it back I can't unsee how much he looks like Tom Holland.
1
valkrycp Mar 29, 2026 +29
I personally got uncanny valley from this movie and couldn't get into it
29
Cavalish Mar 29, 2026 +25
I think it looks much better than it would if they had just made it realistic. If you grew up with Hergé’s books, it really nailed the cartoonish style.
25
valkrycp Mar 29, 2026 +14
I don't disagree, but it still has remnants of The Polar Express-era uncanny valley animation.
14
m00f Mar 29, 2026 +9
It's the motion capture amongst other things. And fully agree that it makes it hard to watch.
9
UnpleasantEgg Mar 29, 2026 +20
Try again. It’s a masterpiece of action cinema.
20
valkrycp Mar 29, 2026 -23
It's not a masterpiece of anything, it's most redeeming quality is the technology behind the animation.
-23
dukearcher Mar 29, 2026 +9
Did you try watching it again? If not how can you reply to his comment informed?
9
valkrycp Mar 29, 2026 -3
So you're saying the only way I can have an opinion on this is by having rewatched the film sometime after this guys comment? What if I watched it last month? The film isn't a bad film, but it's by no means a masterpiece of anything. If you put this among the greatest action films of all time, you're either silly or have not been exposed to much.
-3
dukearcher Mar 29, 2026 +2
Tell the truth, when DID you watch it last? I'm guess 10+ years ago >you're either silly or have not been exposed to much. yeah OK bro
2
valkrycp Mar 29, 2026 -1
Your point is literally moot. I could pull the same thing but reversed "maybe you should watch it again to see that it isn't a masterpiece. Have you watched it since I told you to try again? No? Then how do you have an opinion." F****** dumb. The film is fun and relatively good, but labeling it a masterpiece is stupid. And arguing with someone because they don't believe it's a masterpiece is even more stupid. There are only a handful of masterpiece action films, and if you were to name the Mount Rushmore of action films Tintin would not remotely make the cut for the top 50. What is your action movie mount Rushmore?
-1
dukearcher Mar 29, 2026
Opinions change and people mature a lot in 10 years, looking at how you behave though, it makes sense you wouldn't reconsider giving a terrific movie another shot. You've chosen a weird hill to die on, all down to someone using colourful language as a descriptor
0
valkrycp Mar 30, 2026 +1
Also I didn't behave immaturely anywhere other than saying "F****** dumb." - which isn't calling you dumb, but the thing you said dumb. If you want to take that as an insult or assume that I am immature because of that small of a thing, be my guest. But you're still somehow fundamentally missing any of the point, while simultaneously telling me I am wrong / to get more educated without offering any support for your own claims and throwing out paradoxical and pointed statements like "Did you try watching it again? If not how can you reply to his comment informed?" - suggesting that the only way someone can have a credible perspective on Tintin is to have watched it within the past year (or whatever time period you decide)
1
dangerousbob Mar 29, 2026 +8
It's that strange time period from like 2004 to 2012 where there was an attempt to pump out these kind of young adult CGI adventure movies, this, Beowulf , Polar Express, and they all look like super dated PS3 cutscenes now. I think it was just because the tech was new and shinny at the time.
8
TheOncomingBrows Mar 29, 2026 +8
You're really doing the animation here dirty by comparing it to Polar Express. I can understand some people getting uncanny valley from it but the animation itself here is absolutely *superb*.
8
valkrycp Mar 29, 2026 +5
They're the same period of animation and the same technology and the same director, but on two ends of the generation - Polar Express being the beginning stages and Tintin being the matured version. They're still comparable, they both still are uncanny, and the added realism in Tintin actually is why it's uncanny- because seeing a realistic character with inhumane body proportions and features is practically synonymous with the definition of uncanny.
5
GreatWhiteToyShark Mar 30, 2026 +2
Same director? Polar Express is Bob Zemeckis and Tintin is Steven Spielberg.
2
valkrycp Mar 30, 2026 +2
True, you're right. My bad misremembered.
2
germgoatz Mar 29, 2026 +2
i think the animation is top notch, but I think that also adds to the uncanny valley feeling lol
2
FrameworkisDigimon Mar 29, 2026 +2
It's less strange if you realise most of the films that tried this were the product of a singular highly washed director (Zemeckis). It's all very "stop trying to make fetch" happen.
2
LeBronGOOD Mar 29, 2026 +4
Lol at the PS3 comparison, I never thought about it like that and I wish you didn’t. I Love this movie!
4
bees_on_acid Mar 29, 2026
Spider-Man 3 mission with the lady with the fucked up uncanny valley face. 😭
0
Ok_Commercial_5024 Mar 29, 2026 +1
More so than that, its a total failure of imagination (or perhaps a lack of confidence) in the art direction. Pasting photo-real textures and lighting onto cartoon characters with simple features and exaggerated proportions that were designed for a particular style of drawing is always going to result in a grotesque mishmash of art styles. Either commit to the cartoon aesthetic or don’t. The animation would look beautiful if it were flat-shaded.
1
Cetun Mar 29, 2026 +5
Same, also it looks lik a video game cutscene
5
valkrycp Mar 29, 2026 +3
Yeah there's a plasticity to it
3
LiquidDreamtime Mar 29, 2026
Agreed. I really dislike this movie.
0
phatballlzzz Mar 29, 2026 +2
Such an excellent film. As a huge fan of the graphic novels/comics/tv series growing up I was so skeptical of something like this when it was announced, but they truly did it justice!
2
prasannask Mar 29, 2026 +2
The classic animated ones were great. I was nervous how the movie wud be made during the time it came out. It did not disappoint one bit. Have been waiting ever since on a sequel..
2
DoctorNurse89 Mar 30, 2026 +2
I watched this in my VR headset with the 3d edition... Made the entire purchase worth it
2
Wise-News1666 Mar 30, 2026 +2
You know what if they, for whatever cash grab reason, did a live action Tintin I feel like Tom Holland wouldn't be a bad choice? Would've been better than his Nathan Drake that's for sure.
2
Boomer_Views_Reality Mar 30, 2026 +4
Creeps me out
4
mighty_mag Mar 29, 2026 +5
Man, I completely forgot about this movie. Watching this now, I do remember that I liked it, but I also remember thinking it fell on the wrong side of the Uncanny Valley.
5
Dzyu Mar 29, 2026 +2
Same, but I got over it quickly because it was such a good movie.
2
Gamer0607 Mar 29, 2026 +5
This is one of the few Spielberg films I've not been able to watch due to the stylistic choice for animation.
5
UnpleasantEgg Mar 29, 2026 +12
It’s so good.
12
blondie1024 Mar 29, 2026 +4
One off wonder. I don't need a sequel. It was awesome. There's no need to ruin things, it was absolutely beautiful.
4
The_Meemeli Mar 29, 2026 +8
The Tintin comic books peak way after the ones they adapted here, though. There's definite potential for more good movies.
8
blondie1024 Mar 30, 2026 +1
I have to disagree with you. It was great, and I love the one-off energy. I can't see it sustaining further. This is, as a fan of the herge series.
1
Dawnshot_ Mar 29, 2026 +2
Damn can't believe they got Bo Burnham in Welcome to the Internet for this
2
PeriwinklePangolin24 Mar 30, 2026 +1
My fiance and I were mildly curious at like 2 am and turned on this movie and we were so upset that it wasn't unanimously praised for being so creative and entertaining.
1
BackwoodHippie Mar 30, 2026 +1
Dude this is mind blowingly good looking that’s crazy how old this is
1
Cirok28 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Movie was awesome, I use to love the cartoon as a kid.
1
Personal_Coconut_668 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Id kill for a movie series...This movie was AMAZING!
1
popculturella Mar 30, 2026 +1
It's absolutely criminal that we never got more of these.
1
Ok_Difference44 Mar 30, 2026 +1
As an anti-franchise person, I wish this one had made it. There were a couple of good French live-action movies in the 1960s.
1
RinRinDoof Mar 30, 2026 +1
I love this movie, been waiting for that sequel
1
Killbro_Fraggins Mar 30, 2026 +1
I have this logged in my brain as “Try not to think about it too much because then I’ll just get pissed off.” I want a sequel really bad. The movie is so fun and gorgeous.
1
E1nzelganger Mar 30, 2026 +1
Please release more parts, I want to see professor Calculus and general Alcazar.
1
woodcookiee Mar 30, 2026 +1
I know it would be asking a lot, but I remember seeing this and wishing for a future treatment of One Piece to be animated like this. Then we eventually got the Netflix version and it’s \*sigh\* *fine.*
1
Shot_Comparison2299 Mar 30, 2026 +1
I saw this movie in 2012 on a plane ride from Malaysia to the US. Had no idea it would be at the moment that I'd be watching one of my most favorite animated films!
1
Lynkk Mar 30, 2026 +1
Why is there the exam post on twitter? Not first time it's happening on listnook
1
CtrlAltEvil Mar 30, 2026 +1
Wow this movies visuals have aged tremendously well. Especially when you compare it to similar aesthetically minded movies like Polar Express, Beowulf and the like.
1
Rory_U Mar 30, 2026 +1
Cinema!
1
fuxoft Mar 30, 2026 +1
Notice how John Williams' original music cleverly quotes (after the ship's display glass breaks) bits of the classical aria.
1
BL00D_ZA Mar 30, 2026 +1
Still sucks so much we haven't gotten a whole series of movies out of this gem! Please, Steven and Peter, make another one already!
1
Equinoqs Mar 30, 2026 +1
I had forgotten how tedious that scene became. Just because you can use a magic camera to go anywhere and do anything for as long as you want doesn't mean you should.
1
Vegetable-Vanilla-89 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Love viewing little clips like this, one of the movies that i'd pass on when it came out but after seeing all that mayhem, Tintin is now added to my (ever-expanding) watchlist!
1
SmashedWorm64 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Man this film was so hard. The transitions were works of art.
1
612io Mar 30, 2026 +1
To be honest, I never gave this movie a try because it is too uncanny valley for me which is a complete turn-off. I grew up watching the animated series (and I read a few of the comics) and the adventures are fun but the movie never appealed to me.
1
evilscary Mar 30, 2026 +1
Such a great movie. I never realised how much the music in this sequence resembles that from the truck chase in *Raiders of the Lost Ark*.
1
daekle Mar 30, 2026 +1
I love the bit where Tintin zooms in with the opera glasses, which have no zoom function.
1
KAKYBAC Mar 30, 2026 +1
Looks terrible imo. The side car immediately catching up to the jeep was annoyingly lacking any sort of realistic detail, and then when tintin runs up against a wall you get hyper realistic cracking and dust. It's directorial attention to detail is all over the shop. And I don't mind ridiculous feats and luck; Indiana Jones is all about that (the bike turning into a zip line was very cool) but it feels overly scripted without any of the realistic foundation work to make it feel tense or real.
1
craniumouch Mar 30, 2026 +1
I always wanted a live action Tintin starring Will Poulter lol
1
welltherewasthisbear Mar 29, 2026
It needed to be 2D animated. It had the right talent but the wrong execution.
0
ZippidieDooDah Mar 29, 2026 +3
[Secret of the Unicorn, the comic the movie is based off of was already faithfully adapted in 2D for the tv series](https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x9b36cm) which is amazing btw
3
Actual_Mirror3293 Mar 29, 2026 +1
Was tintin a shitbull?
1
vortextempo Mar 29, 2026 +1
Man tintin just looks so much like Tom Holland in this. If they had ever decided to make a live action version of Tintin a few years ago, he would have been perfect for the role
1
Quirderph Mar 30, 2026 +1
Instead they made him… Nathan Drake?!
1
FeloniousDrunk101 Mar 30, 2026 +2
What in the Uncanny Valley is this?
2
fricken Mar 30, 2026 +1
Spielberg can't help but faceplant right into the uncanny valley every opportunity he gets. I just can't do those fucked up faces. Tintin's eyes are supposed to be a pair of black dots. Like, am i watching a cartoon or not? You have to pick a lane.
1
kilometers13 Mar 29, 2026
He was pregnant with tom holland in this
0
Sparktank1 Mar 30, 2026 -1
This was peak uncanny valley done right. When this first came out, everyone couldn't believe how much of the environment and details were CGI. This was done way better than anything Robert Zemeckis kept doing. I really loved the score to this, too. This was way better work from John Williams over his Harry Potter work. Something about Harry Potter that constantly sounded like all the instruments were made of wet glass. Way too sharp and high pitch that it bled my ears. A lot of care went into making the CGI look tangible and the threats palpable. This was beyond exciting because it just wasn't gags and comedy, but the action was intense. You can feel the anxiety over what could happen next. We could not believe that was Andy Serkis voicing Haddock. We kept thinking it was Gerard Butler.

“Uncanny valley” specifically refers to when it’s done *wrong.*

No, it doesn't. It's when it triggers an emotional reaction. Like a sense of unease or disbelief, or even fright. Not when it goes wrong. CGI is so easy to get wrong that you can disassociate it easily and call it cursed. When it becomes more realistic upon its initial viewing, you can feel so confused and find it jarring of what's happening. It took us about 10 minutes to settle into the movie and accept what we are watching as CGI. That's uncanny valley done right and talked about appropriately. The way you pose it is how people often do it incorrectly and largely associate it with shit. Robert Zemeckis worked hard to do CGI differently for its time. They did more work than needed to capture the performance of the actors for Polar Express. That was peak uncanny valley but it also looked so disturbing because so much of the fidelity and lighting wasn't there. It wasn't wrong, it just zaney and out of this world. You can see the limitations. It's still good, great work but not wrong work.

that's not how bulletproof glass breaks

With TinTin, just suspend your disbelief, besides, While scientific advancements throughout history laid the groundwork for ballistic glass, the first bulletproof glass patent wasn’t granted until 1982. TinTin takes place in 1940.

It was a stylistic choice, not bad cgi that needs fixing.

No, see, if you keep making it more uncanny, eventually it'll circle around to looking canny!
