I have to say the first ep was so over done, it was stupid .. so im happy its kinda getting a little better, but im so confused on why some people die and others dont? Does anyone know why that is?
I gave up when they started singing. Loved the opening myself.

Without spoiling it, i can tell you there is an in-universe valid reason why it kills some people. Pay attention to the timeline and that helps a bit in hindsight.

the book explains some of it but there's still random elements that keep you guessing. i read it after watching the first few episodes and it definitely helped with understanding the rules better but don't expect everything to be crystal clear even then.
