I was going to say, it’s more realistic that his actual bottom falls out than his cult losing their faith in him

Agreed. I also don't think they'll even try to remove him with the 25th. People act as if Trump was responsible for it all. He's just the convenient smoke screen for his administration to do the dirty work. If they remove him, they will be way too exposed. And given the geopolitical quagmire they just created (not just Trump, but Hegseth, all the hawks and pro israel lobby). Vance, who was opposed to thus war, will not want to be the next fall guy to deal with this shit. Unless he has a clear way to solve the issue and getting out on top. Otherwise, just forget about it. Things will keep going as is or worse until he eventually kicks the bucket.

We got him! We finally got him right where we want him - demented, raping children, and in charge of the most powerful military humanity has ever known!

And just a briefcase away from annihilating some countries.

His average job approval ratings are going to plummet from 41% to 40.8%.
6
Winnie_rulez Mar 25, 2026 +3
With a margin of error of +/- 3%.

Watching Daredevil premiere last night, and Matt Murdock literally says "if we expose all the crimes that Kingpin has done, he'll have to be held accountable!" And i was like, I know the MCU is fantastical, but not THAT fantastical

Disgruntled-Cacti Mar 25, 2026 +2
A quagmire Middle East conflict is despised by the left and most of the right— including his isolationist base. I could actually see this time being different, especially since he has no other leg to stand on (economy is weak, immigration crackdown has lost its popularity, his alliance with tech overlords is broadly unpopular, etc)

RichardSaunders Mar 25, 2026 +1
i think it's supposed to be a euphemism for his incontinence

Spamgrenade Mar 25, 2026 +2
Trumps approval still at 40%, that seems to be the floor. He's not going anywhere.
2
Colonel-Mooseknuckle Mar 25, 2026 +33
Bullshit. There's a segment of this country that could watch him diddle their daughter, and would thank him for doing so.

They'd happily eat their own babies alive, like Kronos, if Trump were but to ask. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturn_Devouring_His_Son

There is no bottom. Well, unless he's with Putin. Then he's the bottom.

GargantuaBob Mar 25, 2026 +6
Trump's bottom is like a Russian matrioshka doll: it's infinite bottoms all the way down.

PlatformVarious8941 Mar 25, 2026 +2
He is a master at digging through that bottom. Will hit China soon

At the end of the day, Trump isn’t in charge. It’s some combination of Putin/Netanyahu/Thiel. Once Trump is no longer useful, he’ll be replaced
5
Deguilded Mar 25, 2026 +1
He is, and will continue to be useful - everything can be blamed on him. The more doddering and stupid shit he spits out on Truth Social, the more stuff can be pinned on him. Notice how Vance has gone dead quiet. Their plan is to hide Vance, distance him from all this, and have him try and take over the reins by walking a tried and true storyline titled [Good Tsar, bad Boyars](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_tsar,_bad_boyars). Nearly the entire rest of this administration are set up as the fall guys.

Is this just an auto-repeated headline every week? I have been seeing shit like this since 2016. There is no f****** bottom... we live in hell.

That's why the media wants Trump. Clicks for advertising revenue.

returnofthecursed Mar 25, 2026 +18
The bottom is NOT falling out, as it is comprised of a mix of irrational cultists and corrupt greed-driven psychopaths. They are in way too deep to back out, it's ride or die. What might happen if we're lucky, is we'll manage to elect a sane government and see MAGA fade into obscurity for a while as the country reels from the damage they've done, and we struggle to try to move on. That's the very best case scenario. More likely they're going to turn to violence again, to cling to power.

You left out the rapture-obsessed evangelicals who want him to kick off Armageddon
9
kanakaishou Mar 25, 2026 +3
I think significantly more likely is that the bottom falls out—more than in the past—for maga-but-not-Trump politicians. Like, what happens if the Dems take the senate and house on protest non-votes? Definitely a possibility—not great, but you’d give it a non-negligible, 10% chance today. Probably about in line with my probability of actually meaningful election interference. That, I think, would grind Trump to halt. More than that? Probably not—but it would point to Trump being an issue, and losing the support of any monies interests trying to get Trump 3. He’s not toast today or tomorrow. But I think his current erratic behavior is going to be a liability for trying to seize more power. You gotta have a few planners to implement a government, and it sure looks like the actual administration—not his backers, but the actual administration—is real short on those sorts of people.

I’m tired of these articles. I will believe it when I see it.

GrafZeppelin127 Mar 25, 2026 +1
The thing is, previous times it was all about scandal, crimes, and corruption, which people by and large can’t be forced to give a shit about. This, however, is about gas prices and the economy, which even people who don’t care about and don’t pay attention to trifling things like laws *will* care about.

RednevaL Mar 25, 2026 +6
If I had a dollar for every time this was said I’d be as rich as Trump pre-presidency.

See you guys tomorrow and every other day for the same headline and zero change in status.

BulwarkOnline Mar 25, 2026 +8
Are things going to get better soon for Trump? It seems doubtful. Trump’s war is unpopular. The same Reuters/Ipsos poll showed 35 percent approval and 61 percent disapproval of the strikes against Iran. The news that Trump is sending additional troops to the Middle East to prepare for possibly expanding the strikes to a ground war will probably not help those numbers.

And under that is another bottom.

The speed at with which people seem to think currents move is quite fascinating. “Nothing ever happens” until it happens and then “it was obvious if you were paying attention.” The MTV generation is not equipped for the incessant thrill a minute rollercoaster of systemic global banality. But thirty years from now ask any of us and he was always a solo madman destined for failure. Nobody will remember voting for him even once let alone 3 times and those red hats weren’t nearly as prolific as everyone says they were.

Trump's cease-fire plan is going nowhere. That was his only plan for de-escalation. He's already sending in troops for a more spectacular failure.
