Pneumonia Baby vs IED

Honestly feels like two different Olympic events in the Trauma Games. Pneumonia Baby wins for emotional damage, IED wins for sheer chaos. Which one stuck in your head longer?

did Homelander lose his super hearing or just when the script calls for it?

I don’t think it was ever explicitly stated, but ever since Maeve stuck that pencil in his ear at the end of s3 he’s been able to hear less than he used to.

It's probably one of those things he has to actually use. Probably tunes everything out, sort of like Daredevil. Don't think too hard about it. It's a TV show.

Guess Soldier Boy tuned it out too, plot armour just as bad as the last few seasons

Everyone was hearing angry voices whether they were internal or actual whispers into their mind, because of the guy in the basement.

Invincible had a nice quaint finale, that people will inevitably b**** about being “boring” but was a really nice deescalation of the action from the previous episodes with plenty of nice character moments and did well at wrapping up the plot lines from this season and setting up the next season. Pretty much everything you can hope for from a finale Meanwhile the Boys had an episode that probably would have made me put the show down if this wasn’t the last season. Was it a horrendous episode? No, but is it perfectly emblematic of every single problem the show has had? Yeah. Just non stop foot dragging and over extending the plotline forever, even when we’re at the finish line, and retreaded the same character and plot dynamics we’ve understood fine for like 3 seasons at least, and just jam packed with over the top shock dialogue that is the only thing any character is capable of saying anymore. It’s really gotten grating The Boys really fucked itself over by airing at the same time as Invincible this season. Having 3 of the best episodes of the entire series airing directly alongside 4 middling the Boys episode really puts the Boys problems into perspective
