In my opinion,as far as I love the boys, and loved invincible,I just have to say that both shows have fallen into staggering mediocrity
The start of the boys s5 set some things up but god has it been a chore to watch sometimes, invincible did fairly well, but let's be honest, invincible has become as much unwatchable as the boys,I can't stand the MC anymore,I can't stand the insufferable and unnecessary side characters, nor the god awful animation/voice acting/powerscalling,the boys has fallen off,but rn it's starting to get back on its feet, invincible isn't.
As far as both shows had great introductions, both fell into the shit pit that this"deconstructing the hero genre"is,I won't judge the boys too much since it's the final season and they can make up for everything,I believe invincible could do the same had they executed it's ideas well, the 7 episode along with mark Vs conquest was fire but other than that and the fact that they finally cut out all the unnecessary sub plots I can't say they have done anything meaningful to improve the show,I can see it heading in the right direction but this WAS the season everyone was waiting for,and well....after this one I just believe it will fall into the same category as season 2.This has been the most enjoyable season of invincible by far but considering the fact that it's over I believe the show will just fall out and go to the same old shit as before.
The boys as well has disappointed me in many ways but it still holds a place due to their incredible plot, writing, backstories and overall dynamics,I believe invincible can't beat that,it's not a comparison,it's what people believe invincible to be but the truth is it's way below that
With that said,I believe if the boys nails the ending and the other spin offs it can become one of the most memorable supe shows ever, the same goes to invincible.
Officially, the word officially means "OP said so"

Especially in the comics, I'm not saying it was bad, but you can see that Kirkman wanted to change things over time, for example the character of Regent Thragg (of course, some of his worst stuff from the comics even before, so it might be undone)

Yes since it's most expected for the best parts of the comic to be great but let's be honest, the animation literally ruins the entire feeling

Okay so you never liked it in the first place then? Animation has always been bad

There are scenes that feel like another studio animated them. It’s hilariously bad, but the show is still so good

From what I've seen of the latest season, some scenes look downright horrible.
Like someone animated them in Power Point

B****, I grew up on Hammerman. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODH4HMYdszo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODH4HMYdszo) You don't know what crappy animation is.

People aren't being dishonest just because they have a different opinion than you.
EDIT: clarified below but doing so here too, specifically referring to "let's be honest" and then stating their opinion again. They aren't being dishonest just for not agreeing with OP which is what's implied there.

People aren't agreeing with you and you're pre-empting your very very very subjective feeling with "let's be honest" implying they're dishonest for not agreeing with how you feel. So yes you did, you liar.
Sure looks like you're assuming they feel the same but are lying about it, or can't handle that they feel differently and are saying this to make yourself feel better.

I was saying both seasons nailed a couple of things but also completely misfired at times, and that they could both be great if they actually tried,is that hard to understand?

OP is that uniquely insufferable "fan" who thinks they know better than the scores of people involved in producing the shows he loves to pick apart.
And OP's criticism amounts to entirely subjective observations that boil down to "I don't like it anymore."
Just stop watching OP. With Invincible you say "This has been the most enjoyable season \[...\] by far" and then whine that the show won't be as good moving forward based on... nothing.
It's all whining because the shows don't cater to your exact wants, well the shows aren't made just for you. They exist in reality, with budgets and timelines, writers and producers with opinions you may not like, and a ton of other considerations.
And yeah, OP, you're free to whine. Just as I'm free to reply and say you're the type of fan that ruins shows for other fans.

I dropped off of the Boys late last season, but I thought this season of Invincible was excellent. It spent far less time on monster of the week and actually progressed the plot in most of the episodes. Thragg was an awesome villain too.

Holy shit, I get that everyone's entitled to an opinion but how f****** wrong is this guy about Invincible? This is arguably the best season of the series. Are you serious, dude? I mean you can barely even type so I'm guessing you're not the sharpest mind out there but my god.

Well yes, The Boys is done this season. Officially. This is the last season, although I’m admittedly groaning at the idea of spinoffs like Vought Rising.
As for Invincible, I think the plot actually has some very interesting elements being introduced but I will continue to dunk on the animation, while hoping against hope that the Energon Universe show hires a Japanese studio and not the clowns at Skybound Animation.

I think that the spin-offs are great, actually, since it's the first time we're getting a unique deconstruction of the hero genre as a franchise,I think it's a solid idea

I gotta be honest with you I feel like people have been saying this for years that shows will get terrible in the coming future and ironically enough the boys is showing us why.

The Boys, Daredevil, and Invincible have wowed me with how insanely mediocre to bad all three of them have been recently despite their earlier seasons (of course for Daredevil I’m referring to the Netflix show) having been absolutely superb and some of the best in their categories.
