Not terribly surprised, the "test" in the show is actually a more interesting set up for a spy thriller than what the show actually focuses on. Was a kind of fun, if dumb, 1 season.

phatelectribe Apr 16, 2026 +92
Yeah, and truly it felt like there wasn’t a need for season 2. The story resolved.
92
dstillloading Apr 16, 2026 +3
And even season 1 felt like it had too many episodes. I generally liked it overall but once they explain the core premise it slowly ran out of steam. For a concept like that, it was probably better to keep it sweet and short so we don't all realize the holes in the concept.

What holes?

dstillloading 5 days ago +1
They did the type of thing where they like just lazily keep revealing everything to keep moving the plot along. Like oh by the way the ex-girlfriend doctor knew about the implant, the retired FBI mentor turned restaurant guy knew about the implant, everyone know about the implant the whole time except Simi. Don't quote me exactly on all that but yeah when the ex girlfriend's cabin ended up having a basement for tracking simi it just didn't really make sense. Like the Doctor is questioning the drug dealing doordash guy who's being extorted into his role and just like, accepts his non-answer? Not to mention people like Simi's character should have tremendous profiling abilities and should have picked up that sooner? No, because the issue is that would have made the show shorter and shown that they had an endgame from the start. Also the faraday cage meeting room. Like yes those exist and that would in the moment block any transmitting signals...but you're telling me this extraordinary tech has no ability to like way until it receives an ack signal back before transmitting all of the stuff it wasn't able to send before? Not to mention if they're this dialed in to the man's brain you're telling me they can't access his memories? Or otherwise get no indications or clues what happens during those moments of no transmission? So Simi's brain had perfect endurance to like never expose what happening in those meetings until it was too late for a bad actor to react? All of that is pretty lazy, and with better writing they could have shown Simi and the FBI or whatever they were improvising in realtime to deal with it. Or they could have slower paced Simi's enlightment as to what exactly was happening.

Simu Liu continues to have the worst luck in Hollywood
1409
riegspsych325 Apr 16, 2026 +745
they should have given him Shang-Chi 2 by now. I know he’ll be in Avengers but after that (and likely at at best), he’s going to become the new Hulk: he’ll pop up in other people’s movies but never get his own sequel

Mervynhaspeaked Apr 16, 2026 +187
If they had him fight 2 GIANT DRAGONS then Shang Chi would've made 100 gazillion dollars.

Eh, isn't that at least somewhat because the rights situation of hulk movies is complicated?
19
ibaiki Apr 16, 2026 +12
No, it is specifically and entirely because of the rights situation.
12
Dokibatt Apr 16, 2026 +10
Yeah, they contractually cant make a hulk movie. That's why planet Hulk was Thor Ragnarok. [https://www.letstalkmovies.com/featured/why-marvel-cant-make-solo-hulk-movie-2547](https://www.letstalkmovies.com/featured/why-marvel-cant-make-solo-hulk-movie-2547)

LimerickJim Apr 16, 2026 +2
Also Hulk/Banner is one of the most important characters in the Galactus storylines in the comics. They've been setting up that plot line since the Wakanda scene in Infinity Wars.
2
riegspsych325 Apr 16, 2026 +9
Brave New World should have been a Hulk movie and the Falcon&Bucky show should have been Captain America 4
9
occono Apr 16, 2026 +72
It's still funny that both Shang and Ant-Man live in San Francisco and they didn't think to have him in Quantummania
72
CeeArthur Apr 16, 2026 +92
The Marvel movie machine is not doing so hot right now
92
Christmas_Queef Apr 16, 2026 +49
Superheroes in general seem to be in decline in movies. Not that they're doing terribly but they are doing less and less
49
apple_kicks Apr 16, 2026 +18
It became a genre in itself which people grow tired off. Should follow other genres popularity trends.
18
Lenny2theMany Apr 16, 2026 +19
Spielberg said years ago that superhero movies would go the way of Westerns and it looks like thats starting to happen now. Not that we'll ever see them disappear altogether, just more that audiences are becoming fatigued by the whole genre itself.
19
apple_kicks Apr 16, 2026 +6
This new phase they should’ve just done genre arcs of all sci fi heroes, then supernatural ones, etc so people follow main genre with heroes instead of throwing them all at wall at once
6
ArchDucky Apr 16, 2026 +17
No, badly written movies and made movies that require a lot of homework are in decline.
17
ositola Apr 16, 2026 +6
Not only that, but the universe was becoming too big so to speak  Fantastic four was the first marvel movie in a while that didn't require a ton of knowledge from previous mcu TV/film entries
6
Judson_Scott Apr 16, 2026 +1
I don't bother with any superhero movies. I don't know enough about the material, and am not sitting through 40 other movies to figure out why I should care what's going on. Also, I kinda hate the look of them. All I see in effects-heavy scenes is animation with some floating human heads attached. Netflix did a good job with Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and the rest. But that's because they didn't do a lot of effects, so I don't feel like I'm watching a cartoon.
1
robodrew Apr 16, 2026 +6
Ehh, Deadpool & Wolverine made a billion and a half, the next Spider-Man movie and Avengers movie, both this year, will easily do at least that much But yeah 2025 in particular wasn't a spectacular year for superhero movies
6
alcabazar Apr 16, 2026 +2
Those movies can only make billions if there's not too many superhero movies at the same time. For example Deadpool was the only MCU movie of 2024.
2
robodrew Apr 16, 2026 +4
That's not true for any of the other Avengers or Spider-man films though
4
DarklySalted Apr 16, 2026 +3
The last avengers movie was 8 years ago. Not exactly something to watch trends against.
3
robodrew Apr 16, 2026 +1
6.5 years ago and I just delete the COVID years from my mind tbh, doesn't feel like they even count But I think it does matter because you have to take into account the trends of overall moviegoer behavior which is less time spent in theaters in general, and things were cheaper 7-17 years ago
1
thrownawaynodoxx 5 days ago +1
Superhero movies do tend to perform extremely well when they lean hard on nostalgia.
1
gonz4dieg Apr 17, 2026 +2
They got real f****** lazy and started pumping out garbage, expecting audiences to just keep handing over fistful of money no matter what. Like the audience is still there, people showed up for Shangh chi, Spiderman 3, deadpool 3. But you can't just throw sloppy on the screen, play the avengers music for like 10 seconds and expect people to pay 20 bucks to go see it
2
ZsaFreigh Apr 16, 2026 +1
Spider-Man and Avengers: Doomsday are still gonna make billions between them.
1
Time-Grass5856 Apr 18, 2026 +1
Agreed. Other than the Deadpool movies, I've not enjoyed anything after EndGame. Im bored of it all now
1
havewelost6388 Apr 16, 2026 +19
The only reason Ruffalo Hulk hasn't gotten his own movie because Universal still owns the film rights.  It's a different situation.
19
cooscoos3 Apr 16, 2026 +6
Disney owns the film rights but Universal owns the distribution rights. So Disney could make a Hulk movie anytime they want but it would have the Universal logo in front of it and Universal would get a huge cut of money, plus streaming. Disney doesn’t want to do that.
6
riegspsych325 Apr 16, 2026 +2
but if Disney can buy Fox, have Marvel work out a deal with Sony to use Spider-Man, and let Paramount distribute some of the first few Phases, why can’t they strike a deal with Universal? I think the real answer is they just don’t see a Hulk movie being worth it. Case in point; they made a legacy sequel to Incredible Hulk but swapped him out for Captain America
2
cooscoos3 Apr 16, 2026 +3
Ruffalo has said Disney tried to negotiate with Universal but Universal would not budge. And at the end of the day, you're right, it's just not worth it.
3
LittleMarySunshine25 Apr 16, 2026 +3
I don't understand how they didn't greenlight a 2nd Shang-Chi.
3
Impressive-Potato Apr 17, 2026 +2
Not even a live action cameo when they had 5 years of movies and tv series.
2
Ok_Mathematician6075 Apr 16, 2026 +2
Simu Liu is going to get his due in Hollywood
2
Bayako7 Apr 16, 2026
Because he was and is the weakest actor amongst co stars. Others easily outshined him.
0
Time-Snow-2657 Apr 16, 2026 +192
He's a good stuntman (Shang Chi), and he can play himself (Barbie). He can't really act in the true sense of the word. If you watch Shang Chi again you'll notice he's completely flat in the dramatic scenes.
192
howdidIgetsuckeredin Apr 16, 2026 +135
Doesn't help that he was sharing the screen with *Tony Leung*. The man's a legend for a reason
135
Vandermeres_Cat Apr 16, 2026 +94
I don't think Liu is a bad actor, perhaps a bit generic. But it's not like the various Chrises always bring more to the table tbh. However, yes, Leung was one of the few excellent Marvel villains and yes, he did steal every scene he was in. That's just what will happen when you hire a legendary actor like that. Letting Shang Chi fizzle out was stupid anyway. The movie was popular, made good box office and had good reviews. Yet they seem completely uninterested in a follow-up. Sometimes the decision making there is baffling tbh.
94
NoNefariousness2144 Apr 16, 2026 +31
> Yet they seem completely uninterested in a follow-up. Sometimes the decision making there is baffling tbh. Marvel from 2020 has a bizarre strategy that throwing $200 million budgets at various one-off projects and *maybe* making a sequel. And if they do, it takes too long, like Thunderbolts underpeformed because most of those characters hadn’t appeared for about four years. Meanwhile MCU Phase 1-3 worked so well because you had the Iron Man, Cap and Thor trilogies as the glue holding everything together.
31
MortalJohn Apr 16, 2026 +4
Do they always? No, but they're all incredibly more capable.
4
dalcarr Apr 16, 2026 +9
Usually sharing a scene with a good actor pulls mediocre actors up. There has to be something to pull on though
9
MattyKatty Apr 16, 2026 +1
That would explain why Liu sure looked like a great actor when stuck in scenes with Awkwafina
1
nernst79 Apr 16, 2026 +46
He has plenty of dramatic scenes in Kim's Convenience, and he's good in that. Maybe it's a television vs movie thing.
46
No_Location_8199 Apr 16, 2026 +24
Stop pretending that actors don't have any kind of agency.
24
Yup2342 Apr 16, 2026 +125
It’s not “luck”, he’s just not a very good actor
125
gummi_eater Apr 16, 2026 +19
lmao exactly what I was going to say. I guess I have bad luck in looking good in the sense that I don't look good.
19
PainStorm14 Apr 16, 2026 +10
Which never got in the way of him being full of himself
10
tgf5 Apr 16, 2026 +8
I'm glad someone else said it lol
8
tcote2001 Apr 16, 2026 +6
Is it bad luck or the fact that he’s a competent but uninteresting actor?
6
KeremyJyles Apr 16, 2026 +31
He is an average (at his very best) actor who chose this bad project himself. Luck really isn't part of the equation.
31
Kizzle_McNizzle Apr 16, 2026 +17
No luck involved, he picks bad projects.
17
goliathfasa Apr 16, 2026 +28
Stop trying to make Simu happen. He’s not going to happen.
28
getrektytorumble Apr 16, 2026 +8
or maybe he really just don't have that pull.
8
lLikeCats Apr 16, 2026 +8
He is a fairly average actor. I would say he has done well for himself.

Miscast I’m afraid … he needs to find his rhythm
11
Ihateloops Apr 16, 2026 +2

2
dowhatmelo Apr 17, 2026 +2
Yeah, luck, right.

Yeah, I was really into this continuation. Lousy news. At least we have the one season.
7
KKalonick Apr 17, 2026 +3
I really appreciated Melissa Barrera's Michelle. Every single time it looked like her character would fall into a more traditional love interest or side story role, she remained a stone-cold agent. Off the top of my head, >!she reveals her real name... that's actually another fake as part of the operation. If you thought the man from her past would be a recurring storyline (which it would in most other shows), too bad! Drowned in a bathtub instead. And, of course, instead of defying orders in the name of love when told to kill Alex, she just straight up stabs him instead.!<
3
bomphcheese Apr 16, 2026 +4
Ditto.
4
YoungGambinoMcKobe Apr 16, 2026 +154
This show has no middle fans: everything I've seen is either people who loved it, or people who can't get through the first episode
154
Joe_Book Apr 16, 2026 +72
Count me as someone who couldn't get through the first episode. I wanted to love it, but zzzzzzzzzzzzz
72
MOSbangtan Apr 16, 2026 +34
Agree - the writing and the performances were corny. Bring back the Jackal!
34
anonyfool Apr 16, 2026 +3
The cinematography and lighting in the first episode made it so I could not make out anything during that combat scene, it was so dark, they could have done something like Banshee with night vision but no, they went with accurate lighting for night time, and some other performers in the sequence were so wooden it was distracting.
3
EvilAdministrator Apr 16, 2026 +1
Same! It was mad garbo.
1
grandmasterfunk Apr 16, 2026 +8
I’m in the middle, it was decent, but kind of dumb. The actors really carried it
8
ThomasVivaldi Apr 16, 2026 +1
The future tech was a bit fantastical and the spy agency was too big brother, but it seemed like that would've been explored in season 2.
1
MumrikDK Apr 16, 2026 +1
> it was decent, but kind of dumb. The actors really carried it That used to be Netflix's shtick!
1
nilochpesoj Apr 16, 2026 +3
I’m a middle fan. I watched it. It was dumb. It was fun. But I’m not out there telling people they need to watch it. If you’re bored or sick on the couch for a couple of days and want a show that you can fall asleep mid-episode and not care about going back to catch up on the part you missed, this is perfect for that.
3
ianlulz Apr 16, 2026 +14
Can you be a “fan” and still be in the middle? I watched it and enjoyed it and would watch a second season. Did it love it? No. Did I like it? Yes.
14
TGrady902 Apr 16, 2026 +2
I think I watched the entire season but I honestly can't say I remember much. I know I enjoyed it, but it was very forgettable.
2
dellett Apr 16, 2026 +1
I’m one of those middle fans. The premise was interesting at first but the situations became more and more fantastical to where it didn’t feel grounded in any sort of reality to me, but I didn’t hate it.
1
Rubixcubelube Apr 16, 2026 +31
Ah damn. Certainly not high art but a reasonably tight and well paced spook show.
31
Kononeko Apr 15, 2026 +37
Sounds like they failed the test.
37
NoTitleChamp Apr 16, 2026 +11
The amount of people in here talking about audiance demographics and how the audience reacts to certain actors, dystopian robotic.
11
Dismaster2k Apr 15, 2026 +29
I liked that one. Sad it's canceled.
29
fmal Apr 15, 2026 +110
I don’t think Simu Liu has the juice. He’s very handsome and seems like a nice enough guy, but just no charisma or star power imo.
110
tkc123 Apr 16, 2026 +55
He doesn’t appeal to a lot of Asians or Westerners so neither side is going out of the way to see him in more things. He hasn’t shown any range as an actor other than being a jacked handsome guy. For instance Steve Yuen has great emotional range and Manny Jacinto has great character range.
55
KeepGoing655 Apr 16, 2026 +38
>For instance Steve Yuen has great emotional range Man that just reminded me of how good he was in Beef. [The scene where he breaks down in the church was so good.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bi4Vo9UW3Ao)
38
NoNefariousness2144 Apr 16, 2026 +13
He’s incredible in Invincible as well considering how much BS Mark goes through. He delivers 110% on all the big emotional moments.
13
AlsoIHaveAGroupon Apr 16, 2026 +8
Everything I needed to know about Steven Yeun as an actor was in a 2018 episode of not-popular YouTube premium series Weird City where he's been carrying around an organic cantelope and he loves it so much he's been carrying it in a baby bjorn. [And then this happens](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29K4V0_-4ZM).
8
kevlarbaboon Apr 16, 2026 +2
That was hilarious. Was the rest of the show any good? I was into Champaign, Illinois when it was a YouTube Red (lol) exclusive but never heard of Weird City. I even remember Cobra Kai !
2
AlsoIHaveAGroupon Apr 16, 2026 +2
It's *mostly* an anthology, so it's hit or miss. The first episode (The One) with Ed O'Neil and Dylan O'Brien and Pete from The Bear is by far the best. The selling point of the series was Jordan Peele as co-creator/writer/producer, but that first episode is the only one he co-wrote, and it shows. Chonathan & Mulia & Barsley & Phephanie, the Steven Yeun one that I just spoiled, the only other that I'd consider worth watching. IMDB has every other episode at 5.5 or worse and that's... accurate.
2
YaMomsCooch Apr 16, 2026 +87
Like Anthony Mackie, all his real charisma and magnetism disappears when the cameras turn on. It’s truly fascinating.
87
AcceptableVisual Apr 16, 2026 +64
Mackie is great in Twisted Metal. Don't know what happens in every other role
64
SovFist Apr 16, 2026 +42
they refuse to let him be funny most of the time, and he's pretty good at comedy IMO
42
mojitojenkins Apr 16, 2026 +19
He was really good in The Studio. I haven't seen him in anything else but I remember specifically noticing how talented he seemed in that
19
Current_Focus2668 Apr 16, 2026 +14
He needs a Beverly Hills Cop comedic action type film franchise.
14
LyingForTruth Apr 16, 2026 +10
He should team up with Simu Liu and reboot Rush Hour
10
Aggressive_Noise6426 Apr 16, 2026 +4
This 100%!
4
RealSunglassesGuy Apr 16, 2026 +19
Yeah he is almost downright silly on that show and he really pulls it off. Fortunately he has Stephanie Beatriz to bounce off and she is great too.
19
LB3PTMAN Apr 16, 2026 +16
I think it’s the same with Simu Liu. He’s funny charming not action charming.
16
Hitori-Kowareta Apr 16, 2026 +2
Also really liked him in ‘if you were the last’ really nice/sweet movie in general.
2
XuX24 Apr 16, 2026 +17
I feel Mackie works but as a part of a group by himself I don't think he can carry.
17
Weak_Heart2000 Apr 16, 2026 +8
It depends on the script. But I have noticed that the projects he does where he is a supporting character, he gives really fantastic performances. He was excellent as the grieving college student who was dealing with survivor's guilt after his football team died in a plane crash.
8
iHeartApples Apr 16, 2026 +10
He's so good in comedies, but he is so outrageously handsome they try to make him a conventional leading man. He was great in Kim's Convenience
10
4rtImitatesLife Apr 16, 2026 +12
Neither does Melissa Barrera
12
kingcolbe Apr 16, 2026 +1
Ok Ryan Showers…
1
DavyJonesRocker Apr 16, 2026 +5
Can’t believe it took this long for people to finally realize this. Guy was the flattest part of a great Marvel movie and he got Listnook’s good will for the better part of 5 years. What did he do with all that career heat? Nada besides walk all the Marvel red carpets and complain about not getting Shang Chi 2. That’s got dud written all over it. Produce an indie, my guy. Connect with other AsAm filmmakers and offer to do a cameo.
5
flamaryu Apr 16, 2026 +22
Sucks I liked the show. This is also why I dont watch TV much any more seems every show I get into gets canceled after one season.
22
Underwater_Karma Apr 15, 2026 +29
Let me guess, season 1 ended on a cliffhanger?
29
jovanmilic97 Apr 16, 2026 +57
Surprisingly no 😂 It's sort of open ended with crumbs left for the season 2's direction, but it's obvious what the main character would decide to do had the show returned
57
Underwater_Karma Apr 16, 2026 +20
So would it be worth the one season watch?
20
MatildaJeffries Apr 16, 2026 +26
Yes.
26
Church_of_Cheri Apr 16, 2026 +15
I will second the yes here, I thought it was just a mini series type show so I didn’t even think there would be a possible second season. I think Simu Liu is fantastic. He has gotten a lot of hate from people in China that I think has sadly affected his career, so I go out of my way to watch his projects.
15
dnt1694 Apr 16, 2026 +13
It was resolved but it left it opened for the next story.
13
muad_dibs Apr 16, 2026 +3
It ends well enough that you won’t care if it had a second season or not.
3
nimbuscloud9 Apr 16, 2026 +12
What! Wasn’t it Peacock’s biggest debut?
12
Impressive-Potato Apr 17, 2026 +3
Very strong viewership numbers. 3rd most streamed show in the time period.
3
Frostymagnum Apr 16, 2026 +8
Dang it I just finished watching it. They had a lot going and I'll always watch Simu Liu and Saul Rubinek
8
whris_cilson Apr 16, 2026 +4
Guess they ran out of places without signal.
4
rusty02536 Apr 16, 2026 +4
I really enjoyed the show Completely by accident. Found it advertised on Amazon - not NBC, Not Cable. They have to stop hiding these shows on their OTT service that doesn’t have a integrated app for most smart TVs Who subscribes to Peacock?🦚 Almost everyone. It’s just NBC with more steps ffs.
4
dnt1694 Apr 16, 2026 +7
It was a good show. First show I’ve watched on Peacock.
7
abcbri Apr 16, 2026 +8
I’ve never heard it it and I have been watching Peacock
8
histy_68 Apr 16, 2026 +2
I saw it randomly out of the cornor of my on when I scrolled down and watched it because I like him. It's good, it's a lot of fun and doesn't take itself too seriously. Peacock's main page is so bloated its hard to find anything. It's a terrible app.
2
JayMoots Apr 16, 2026 +3
Same here. I’ve been watching back episodes of The Traitors for three months on Peacock and haven’t seen a single trailer for this show.
3
brainsprains Apr 16, 2026 +3
I’m chronically online but I’ve never heard of this show. The reviews seem pretty mixed but I would have given it a chance. Interesting concept.
3
OregonBetrayal Apr 16, 2026 +3
Writing was on the wall when the showrunner was poached to do X-Files.
3
RobSamson Apr 16, 2026 +3
Shame, sounded interesting - but this is the first time I'm ever hearing about it
3
Rufus2fist Apr 16, 2026 +3
Ever heard of it, did they not advertise?
3
bored_ryan2 Apr 16, 2026 +1
If you watched anything on Peacock before the show released, every ad break it seemed like there was a 1 minute ad for it.
1
Killroyjones Apr 16, 2026 +3
Who would have thought a banger of a title like "The Copenhagen Test" wouldn't draw the eye.
3

I did find that the 2nd episode explained a lot of questions I had. But I also didn't finish the series so apparently these explanations weren't enough to keep me interested

F*** man. F***

Dirks_Knee Apr 16, 2026 +5
Damn...streamers never give anything a chance. I enjoyed the show.

They canceled The Copenhagen Test and fired a bunch of people in Twisted Metal. It's like Peacock is trying to lose my business.

AcceptableVisual Apr 16, 2026 +2
I watched the whole thing and it was fine, but hollow. For a sci fi spy thriller, there wasn't a lot to mentally chew on. Once it was over I completely forgot about it.
2
Myscho Apr 16, 2026 +2
Lovely, i have it on my watchlist
2
ShireXennial Apr 16, 2026 +2
You can still enjoy season one with a satisfying ending.
2
Blackbyrn Apr 16, 2026 +2
The show was better than the title, it was a solid story and well produced
2
greenpepperoni Apr 16, 2026 +2
Damn, I just finished episode 1. Maybe it had low numbers because no one knew about it.
2
TheRoscoeVine Apr 16, 2026 +2
That was actually an interesting show. Lame.
2
TanAllOvaJanAllOva Apr 16, 2026 +2
Damn, it was actually interesting

histy_68 Apr 16, 2026 +1
I liked it. It had a fun story and solid action and didn't take itself too seriously like other spy shows. Sort of had Alias vibes from back in the day but without the 24 episode bloat.

Devilofchaos108070 Apr 16, 2026 +2
Really? It was a pretty fun first season. Honestly it ended fine . The second season looked like it was going to be dumb anyway
2
MealieAI Apr 16, 2026 +2
I literally have never heard of it.

VLHACS Apr 16, 2026 +2
I mean, I already know he's going to pass the test because he's Asian
2
klatzicus Apr 16, 2026 +2
The first episode was mediocre but it gets better over time. It was fun espionage/action show with a crazy setup
2
KurtKrimson Apr 16, 2026 +2
Yeah, this thing was just to pretentious.
2
zeroxray Apr 16, 2026 +2
Outside of traitors and the bravo shows why are people still subscribed to peacock?
2
Heikks Apr 16, 2026 +1

zeroxray Apr 16, 2026 +1

Wonder who Simu will blame for this.

>*The Copenhagen Test* (2025–2026) achieved high viewership upon release, with 1.1 billion streams in its first few days, placing it as the 3rd most-watched show in the U.S. and #1 on Peacock. The spy thriller, starring Simu Liu, was described as a "Streaming Success," driven by its high-stakes premise and strong performance. So why did it get cancelled? Clearly, it's not about the viewership?

is-this-a-nick Apr 16, 2026 +8
Eh. that statement is the hype blurb. Maybe the metrics went right to the shitter with almost nobody making it to the end of the season?

Mundane-Bug-4962 Apr 15, 2026 +6
This show was ridiculous and poorly cast. I can’t say I’m surprised

But, but, his EYES were hacked!

kick_the_chort Apr 16, 2026 +2
I can't imagine anyone cares.
2
Cabrill0 Apr 16, 2026 +2
How long until Simu blames it on racism against the Asian community?
2
firedrakes Apr 16, 2026 +1
Took so long to get good. I knew it get cancelled

AleroRatking Apr 16, 2026 +1
Dang. Its on my watch list but there is so so many great shows
1
ImLaunchpadMcQuack Apr 16, 2026 +1
And it had such a catchy title too
1
sinkwiththeship Apr 16, 2026 +1
"My eyes and ears have been hacked." "Got it. I'm now totally in." Shit never made sense.
1
Razzler1973 Apr 16, 2026 +1
I started watching it. It was an OK premise Felt like it could have been a decent 1hr 30 film on a streaming site, even same cast I stopped watching after about 4 episodes Nothing in particular but just wasn't vibing with me or that I cared enough about what was happening
1
Serin-019 Apr 16, 2026 +1
Dang. That's a shame. I enjoyed it quite a bit, even if I did wish they had maybe a technical advisor for the military and science aspects.
1
doghaircut Apr 16, 2026 +1
What a shame. This was a really good show.

I started watching this, got like four episodes in and got distracted watching other series like The Pitt and Paradise and forgot to go back. Now I don't have to.
1
zeitgeistwise Apr 16, 2026 +1
honestly enjoyed it. some episodes dragged. didn't really see a hook for season 2
1
eloquenentic Apr 16, 2026 +1
Did it have a proper, wrapped up ending? Was thinking of watching it but I’m set on never watching shows where the story isn’t wrapped up.
1
Devilofchaos108070 Apr 16, 2026 +1
It has an ending but sets up a new season. I think it’s somewhat satisfying
1
Writerly13 Apr 16, 2026 +1
Eh. Pretty mid show
1
ButtPlugForPM Apr 16, 2026 +1
This show was SOOO plot hole ridden it might as well been a block of swiss chesse So the main character "has been hacked by nanites" and are recording his every move and thing he says. Yet this super spy group can't figure out that they lose signal EVERY time he goes onto the subway for 15 minutes EVERY night to speak to his handlers.. The entire idea is f****** absurd no nanite would have the transmission capacity to get a signal outside the body the human skin alone is a pretty good wave limiter as it is.
1
-ibgd Apr 16, 2026 +1
The plot was all nonsense but I still think it was a fun show.
1
joebobjoebobjoebob12 Apr 16, 2026 +1
What a generic title for a show. It sounds like something the *Seinfeld* characters would go watch at a movie theater.
1
braumbles Apr 16, 2026 +1
Peacock doing Peacock things.
1
Gattawesome Apr 16, 2026 +1
Honestly, my wife I could barely get through 15 minutes of the first episode.
1
Greene_Mr Apr 16, 2026 +1
...didn't it just come out? :-/
1
Desertbro Apr 16, 2026 +1
Watching the first episode killed any kind of interest I may have had.

[deleted] Apr 16, 2026 +1
Never even heard of this one before. Peacock is not as widely available as the other streamers.
1
RomeoFoxtrot7 Apr 16, 2026 +1
F*** Peacock.
1
legohamlet Apr 16, 2026 +1
I’m on episode 4. Does this end with a cliffhanger or a mostly resolved ending?
1
MrDephcon Apr 16, 2026 +2
Keep going
2
Femme0879 Apr 16, 2026 +1
Omg why are the shows I like being canceled
1
verityyyh Apr 17, 2026 +1
I think it was a fun watch. I wish Hannah Cruz (Rachel, ex fiancée) had more screen time, I think she’s brilliant in everything she does. Not that anyone will find this as funny as me, but she originated the role of Robyn Martinez in the musical The Connector, and one of her songs in that is called Cassandra. I liked the coincidence. She has a killer voice and is currently playing Svetlana in Chess on Broadway, I highly recommend listening to her sing literally anything

Is season 1 worth watching?
