This is the most unhinged elevator pitch I’ve ever heard and I am 100% here for it.

This was almost the exact same plot as an episode of **The Outer Limits** ***--from over 60 years ago.*** Just switch out dinosaurs for alien monsters. The episode was titled "A Feasibility Study," and it was about a six-block suburban area which is teleported, people and all, to the alien planet Luminos, where the Luminoids study the feasibility of enslaving humans by observing how they react to various dangers and mysterious situations. (This episode was also remade, less grandly, on the *new* **The Outer Limits** in 1997.)

It's more like a unofficial remake of 70's TV show Land of the Lost Family gets teleported to weird Dino land.

This! Would love to have been in the room when this got pitched: "... and then the entire street moves, and then there's dinosaurs–" "GREEN LIGHT!"

1
ReflectionEterna Mar 28, 2026 +1
That was my immediate reaction.

Helpful-Attorney-924 Mar 28, 2026 +1
They even changed the name. Was supposed to be Flowervale Street
1
SuicideSkwad Mar 28, 2026 +1
And guess what’s at the end of Oak Street in LA? Clover Park….

cire1184 Mar 28, 2026 +1

Not a big cloververse fan just saw that on the sub, although there’s a possibility I was bamboozled

Now it's Jurassic Park Avenue

KingMario05 Mar 28, 2026 +1
That's Paramount. This is WB, which is still separate... for now...
1
Tricky_Slip4385 Mar 28, 2026 +1
No, it’s not
1
Helpful-Attorney-924 Mar 28, 2026 +1
Atleast it was supposed to be. Hence why it's orginal name Flowervale street sounded similar to Cloverfield lane
1
BilverBurfer Mar 28, 2026 +1
That doesn't make any sense.
1
Tricky_Slip4385 Mar 28, 2026 +1
No, it was never connected in any way. It was always a self contained dinosaur film set in the 80s.  People making that connection because of the title and the producer will never be anything other than a really braindead take, and completely lacking in imagination and creativity.

shoegazeweedbed Mar 28, 2026 +1
Oh damn. That’s a pass then

urgasmic Mar 28, 2026 +1

1
TraceOfHumanity Mar 28, 2026 +1
“Could have been worse!” ??? That is a hell of a low bar, my friend. That movie SUCKED

I just like how not a single article is ever going to reference to DRM as being the director of Under the Silver Lake. I guess I shouldn't be surprised but as someone who loves that movie its sad to see it be ignored as if it doesnt exist.

https://www.indiewire.com/news/trailers/the-end-of-oak-street-teaser-1235186224/ Here you go.
1
DankBoiix Mar 28, 2026 +1
That's probably the only context Under the Silver Lake will be referenced in articles, is being DRM's last film. But now that just makes me question why an article would reference that film instead of his way more popular and successful movie that people actually liked lol.

smokewidget Mar 28, 2026 +1
Here’s another one that references it. https://poprant.indiatimes.com/trending/the-end-of-oak-street-release-date-everything-to-know-about-this-wild-sci-fi-survival-thriller/amp_articleshow/129859398.html

1
DankBoiix Mar 28, 2026 +1

1
smokewidget Mar 28, 2026 +1

1
DankBoiix Mar 28, 2026 +1

1
smokewidget Mar 28, 2026 +1
Well you should watch a movie with mixed reviews. That’ll certainly show me and the establishment!
1
man_on_hill Mar 28, 2026 +1
That’s a normal article, find a new slant
1
sludgezone Mar 28, 2026 +1
The burial of that movie needs its own documentary. Someone was pissed it was made.

I haven't been able to get excited for Hollywood films in a long time, and though I'm hoping this will be good, The teaser trailer just makes me go "Eh. Might be alright."

fullmoon63 Mar 28, 2026 +1
The premise alone sold me, not gonna lie.

Livid_Percentage_405 Mar 28, 2026 +1
this sounds wild, like a mashup of thrillers and adventure. can't wait to see how they pull off dinosaurs in this context!

heroshadow12 Mar 28, 2026 +1
Is this a sequel to A Nightmare on Elm Street?
1
Technical-Outside408 Mar 28, 2026 +1
I hope they all f****** die by the end. Even better, have the humans be killed off in the first 10 minutes and let the dinosaurs be the main characters. Give them hopes and dreams and interpersonal conflicts to overcome.
