It really has the vibes and style of 30 rock, and just because of Tracy Morgan starring.
A lot of smart, quick witty jokes, long callbacks, surreal humor and pop culture jokes that actually hit, it's just really well written.
Also Daniel Radcliffe is just fantastic in it.
I'm writing this so more people will watch it, I really don't want it to get canceled.
Radcliffe and Morgan are so good but to me Erika Alexander and Bobby Moynihan steal the show.
Their comedic timing and facial expressions have me dying.

Erika has some classic sitcom beats that are blending in really well with the alt/comedy.
It's like someone rocking a Cello during a hard rock song.
Moynihan is just a ham and I love him in everything.

There are people who just aren't especially into women, and that's okay, too. Pretty sure the big thing is remembering she's still a human being rather than an object whether or not you're especially attracted to her.
1
StuffonBookshelfsApr 1, 2026

She’s an incredibly talented human, which I think might be why we should all be attracted to her. Not just for her physical assets.
And even if you’re not sexually into women, you can absolutely be into her humanity.

Oh, no, I enjoy her music (fairly casually) and I've seen her on a couple of TV shows and she did well as a guest star as far as I could tell.
But I also think John Leguizamo is generally good in things, and that's not quite the same as finding him attractive.

But while I'm bias, the humor in this show is really well thought out. Its very layered and I've found through accidentally rewatching episodes (when Peacock autoplays them after I've been watching basketball) that they are even better the second time around - and I think that is a sign of genuinely great comedy

They wanted to get as many eyes on the pilot as possible so they thought it'd be a brilliant idea to air it directly after a nationally televised NFL game late in the season.

Because 30 Rock with an immortal Kenneth required 0 suspension of disbelief
It's a Tina Fey comedy. We'll probably end up with Titus Burgess guest staring as his old QB if it goes on long enough

3
crabtabulousApr 1, 2026
+1
Eh I hear you but I think suspension of disbelief can be kind of a sliding scale depending on how much it matters to the overarching plot or story, even in a comedy. The jokes about Kenneth's age were almost always throwaway lines at the end of a scene, they weren't central to the premise of the show. Obviously it doesn't matter much in the end if the show is funny and entertaining enough to overcome it, I agree on that. But still, if you cast an old, obese guy like Tracy Morgan as an ex-NFL player and make that the premise, it's fair play for people to at least raise their eyebrows a bit lol.
30 Rock is honestly another perfect example interestingly enough. Tina Fey tried really hard to get Rachel Dratch cast as the Jenna Maroney character originally, and the network stepped in and said no and forced her to cast someone they considered more "conventionally attractive" as a narcissistic small-time actress (which is how they ended up with Jane Krakowski). A lot of the sexualized stuff that they had the Jenna character do throughout the show might not have worked the same with Rachel Dratch, believability-wise.

steeb2erApr 1, 2026

Your overall point is valid, but I disagree with applying it here. Have you seen post-career NFL guys? Sure, some are in great shape, but others have certainly seen better days. It's not hard to imagine Reggie would've "let himself go" after getting kicked out of the league. Depression, boredom, lack of discipline, no need to work out, could all add up to Tracy's current body.
I mean, go watch the first season of 30 Rock - Tracy's not the pinnacle of fitness but he's certainly 60 lbs lighter than he is currently. Time does things to the body.
