Man, I really hope this is a good movie. Kenji Tanigaki has an excellent track record as an action director but the couple of times he's also been the actual director have been kinda shit. Word of mouth is positive though.

I was at the world premier for this at TIFF last year and I’m not exaggerating when I say it is one of the greatest action movies of all time. I have never seen a crowd go that crazy in a movie theatre before. People aren’t ready for this.

I’ve read some absurdly ridiculous things about this movie (in a good way). Super f****** excited for this. I swear, movies like The Raid (and to a lesser extent The Night Comes For Us) are so beautiful in their balletic o*** of violence that the dudes in these movies are almost like human special effects. The hand to hand combat and action sequences where literally anything on screen is used as a weapon is just absolutely insane.

God damn now thats an action movie. So glad they are giving mad dog a lot of roles!

I'm so f****** in. Love the Raid (sort of) trilogy. Even in the trailer there's evidence of the longer shots that make for a proper amazing action film rather just choppy nonsense cutting around the fighting.

I was about to say Indonesia does it again, but, after checking IMDb, this was filmed in Thailand. I'm going to enjoy it either way. It has Joe Taslim and Yayan Ruhian (yes, I looked that name up), and the were fantastic in 'The Raid' and 'The raid 2'.

Holy shit the scene climbing onto people like tower with the hammer is ingenious choreography! Hip throwing ladder with the guy on it trying to stab you is some next level shit. I hope the hype delivers, The Raid 1 and 2 were untouchable martial art/hand to hand combat movies. John Wick series, Extraction, The Night Comes for Us were close but not quite peak level.

I love a good action film with lots of ass kicking. I am tired of the plot often being women/children in peril, men on a hero’s journey. He gets revenge and/or growth, she gets to be dead. Injured. Imprisoned. Weak and vulnerable. Maybe try something new.
