The past two weeks I haven’t done anything outside of work, investing, and studying German. When did you last discover something you genuinely enjoyed?

Lately my life has been very structured: work, a bit of investing, learning German. It’s not bad — I’m not unhappy. But I realized I haven’t done anything outside of those things for about two weeks. No random interests, no social stuff, no small joys. I used to get excited about new things easily. Now it feels like my world is shrinking into “things I have to do.” I’m curious — for those of you who’ve been through this: when did you last discover something you genuinely enjoyed? Not something productive, just something that made you feel a little more like yourself. Would love to hear your stories.

Common theme in my life. I forced myself to drive to the beach. I walked 5 miles, sat and immersed myself in the serenity.

It doesn’t have to be something big. Just… something outside

I've gone maaaany years without reading a book for leisure. I started back in January and realize I really enjoy it.
